I'm the only one stupid enough to try to argue with deluded Irishmen...its as pointless as trying to plait ****
Clutching at straws here. Cordoba is the younger man and apparently had the better punch resistance so how do you explain him going down. Dunne's power has tripled with his extra conditioning, he was doing a number on Cordoba in a lot of those rounds which resulted in Cordoba getting ko'd. Caballero didn't put a dent in him! Stop trying to detract from Dunne's win!
See my post prior to yours :good Get a grip, no ones power triples with conditioning, keep the win in perspective.
Who is deluded, that was a fantastic win over a world class opponent. You sound like a bitter ****er! I would pick Dunne to beat Munroe, Martinez, Molitor, Kratingdeangymn (or whatever his name is) plus a few more in the devision bar maybe Caballero and Marquez (although I would not rule him out). I have thought this long before he won the WBA title. Dunne has proved his class, so stop talking **** man!
Dunne did not stop a natural bantamweight in his last fight, he has just stopped a world class super bantamweight opponent who has never been stopped before. I would call that at least tripling his power!
I've slways said that dunne was a super talent- couldnt watch the fight fur to problems with my sight but very pleased he won
You know Jeff I have to give you immense credit. You've always been adamant that Dunne had great power, and I always thought in my head 'jesus what does he know........maybe at European level', but **** me you were right ! and thank god you were. I don't think as many people have ever been proved wrong in Ireland as when Bernard Dunne won last night, and tbh I wasn't giving him much chance
dunne was far better than i thought, not only technically but he showed amazing heart to get through those two KDs and go on to stop his opponent.
chinny ? did you see the punishment he took all night long ? a chinny fighter wouldve never been able to take that amount of punishment
dunne looked like a man who had trained long and hard for this fight, and got himself into the best boxing machine he could be...after that 5th round and to get to where he was in the 11th was a testiment to his conditioning. i would never in a million years predicted an 11th round knockout for dunne...if the bookies were giving 1000/1 i wouldnt have taken it....i was hoping with my heart that dunne would get a points win...and losing the last rounds, as i thought he'd be kinda wasted by then... he changed himself..he learned from the kiko fight and thats a fact...he showed incredible grit and determination... i'm almost 40 years old and he brought tears to my eyes...i am so happy to have been there last night. to answer the question...dunne was good and better than i thought. slight off topic mention to brian peters...he put on an amazing event last night...i wasnt sure how the mixed card of amatuer / womens boxing and pro would go...but it was amazing...i couldnt have enjoy the whole event more....brian peters is doing great things here at the moment.
Any thoughts on a possible Dunne vs Munroe showdown? Not wishing to **** on Dunne's parade at all, but it was only for the WBA micky mouse title - it carries about as much weight as a WBU one.
emotions are running high over here and theres always a windup merchant waiting in the wings!:hey:hey great preformance by dunne:deal
