has anyone got a link to the lee fight? That rte link isnt working for me all i get is sound but no picture
I watched all fight in the pub with no sound and looking at lee i wasnt sure he won the fight . Any opinions?
Btw have a look on boxrec , maloney is posting there and thinks munroe would beat dunne. Now i know that fight would be the biggest financially with sutherland there also, but i feel after the bs coming from fm maybe they should wait. Any thoughts?

OK paddy i just re-watched it and tried not to get carried away although listening to Jimmy and Dave boy McCauley Dunne must have won every round.:D

    My score after 10
    Dunne 93 Cordoba 94

    1. 9-10 Cordoba
    2. 9-10 Cordoba
    3. 10-8 Dunne
    4. 10-9 Dunne
    5. 7-10 Cordoba
    6. 10-9 Dunne
    7. 9-10 Cordoba
    8. 10-9 Dunne
    9. 10-9 Dunne
    10. 9-10 Cordoba

Five rounds a piece and Cordoba up by the extra knock down, Those judges were ****ing terrible. It doesn't matter now anyway because Dunne fought like a true champion and like the old adage says ripped the Title from the champion.

He generally does a bad job with names especially but it was worse on sat. They are unashamedly biased.
Btw great pics seems like you had a great night, wish i had been there

Yeah, not too much neutrality, but i suppose it's inevitable with the occasion.

Sometimes that happens with RTÉ's player, try and keep clicking the writing(rather than the bit that says play clip) until the picture comes up.

The impression I'm getting from Maloney on boxrec is that he doesn't actually want the Dunne fight. He doesn't seem to fancy Munroe's chances and would prefer to keep defending the European title. But maybe that's me reading into things, because he's going with the 'Munroe would beat Dunne and Munroe doesn't need Dunne' angle.

Bernard Dunne went and found a new level on Saturday night, World Class, Munroe is good but not World Class yet and Maloney knows it.

My general feeling going into the 11th was that it was anyones fight. **** scoring.

On a personal level, it was one of the best nights of my life and the best fight I have ever seen.:deal

So we can safely say Munroe won't be coming back over anytime soon.
Doug who would you put Bernard in with now?

Oh he might be coming back over alright, Had Napa not lost his European title it would of been Napa v Paulie Hyland with Sutherland on the undercard aswell as Munroe fighting for that vacant Commonwealth title.

However Napa ****ed that up, but I don't think it would stop Maloney putting Munroe in Ireland in the future.......once it's not against Dunne.
He can only sell out Lesiure centres anyway so Maloney doesn't make that much from having him fight at home. He'll continue defending that European title till he's a mandatory some day. As mandatory he'll earn a decent amount of cash(40% of purse bid) and then he'll get the lard hammered out of him by the champion and retire.

Munroe's decent at European level but he's not above it and Maloney knows it.
