Well the question you asked there should of been does Caballero have to fight him soon ?, and the answer is no. Dunne will have to have agreed to a mandatory defence of his title, presumely against Poonsawat Kratingdaenggym within the next 7 months, so Dunne will be able to fit in 1/2 voluntaries. A Caballero fight has to be made within 14 months(should Dunne still hold the title).
Will be a voluntary next surely. If Munroe doesn't bite then there's a certain Kiko Martinez sitting 13th in the WBA Rankings, Could be a nice time for Dunne to get his revenge.
Whoa what a finish! I watched it over and over again. Are you sure this kid's name is Dunne because he looks like Duran here circa 1975. Dunne reminded me of a young Roberto Duran in this fight. I'm sure that 'Manos de Pierdra' saw this because Cordoba is also from Panama. He had to like what he saw from Dunne cause' I'm certain it brought back flashbacks of when he himself was tearing people up 30-35 years ago.
Just a word about hawkins, tbh i dont know lot about his backround but he and dunne seem to have a great relationship. What other fighters does he have under his tutelige?
Martinez could go out of the rankings after the recent Munroe loss and I'm not sure he'll do anything to get back in, in the mean time.
Anyone know who Martin Rogan is fighting on May 15th? This guy could be another Rocky in the making. The parallels are unmistakable. Could you imagine him going to Germany and beating one the Klitschkos? That would be a real-life Rocky story.
The way he dismantled Cordoba at the end was Duranesque. Watch the finish of Roberto Duran's wins over Esteban Dejesus in 1974 and 1978 respectively and you will see the similarities. Dunne was a hungry, aggressive, highly skilled warrior on a mission. He was not going to be denied in this one.
rogies family live around the corner from me in west belfast...a lot of opinions who he could be boxing in the odyssay....and michael sprott[ the who flattened audley] name has been mentioned
