Over at at certain site that talks Boxing, Roy is saying he may possibly fight Jeff Lacy next at 168, and claims "After I stop him I don't want there to be any excuses."

    Thoughts?

Lacy sucks. Fight someone else. BHop, Taylor/Froch, anyone but Lacy.

Well, I think he is going to take on Lacy and try to beat him worse than Joe or Taylor. If he wins there, he is going after the the winner of Taylor/Froch. Going down to 168 is an indication that he is going for a belt at 168.

He really shouldent go down in weight anymore at 40 years old. Plus he should definatly stick with the Light Heavies who are all old.

Lacy's moving to 175 anyway, so I see no reason why they would fight at 168. That said, it's a fight that would make sense for Jones. He should still be able to beat Lacy, who's a shell of the fighter he used to be but still has a decent name.

Roy is cherrypicking. Lacy is too slow to hit him with anything (if he couldn't land big on Taylor, he won't on Roy), and doesn't pose any defensive hurdles of his own for Roy to have to jump. Do I think Roy stops him? Not as long as he doesn't get the same crap ref as he had for the Sheika fight.

Only upside of this fight is that Lacy at least has the power to hurt him.

I don't think he's moving to 175, I just think since his next fight is above the 168 lb limit it's being billed as a light heavyweight match up. He fought Mendoza above 168 too, right before Taylor, as he seems to not like taking the extra weight off for his tune-ups.

Plus my guess is RJJ wants the fight at 168 so he can get ranked at 168 and in line for a title shot at someone like Taylor, should he beat Froch.

I'd read elsewhere that Lacy said he was moving up to 175. Maybe that's not the case.

Is Roy believing that Lacy actually beat Calzaghe and still holds IBF title?

Pretty Obvious what roy is doing here. since his loss to Calzaghe he said he only lost due to his cut and said he would have finished calzaghe before the 12th and went after Omar Sheika who Calzaghe stopped in the 5th round on a HEOWGE cut which roy did simular cept it was a baby cut and omar was still fighting back. Roy wants to stop Lacy who most people see as Calzaghes career defining fight however it would be interesting to see Jones Kessler as i believe kessler would stop Jones at this stage seeming as he has more power than Calzaghe and one of the meanest uppercuts at 168
