Damn, seeing that made me bring up the last two rounds of the 2nd Watson fight (which I had never seen until now) Hindsight is a wonderful thing but if only Watson hadn't been pushed out for the 12th.

I agree with the guys in the second vid, I never appreciated Chris until the two Thompson encounters. What a warrior he showed himself to be.

A legend he is...one of the best ever and imho the best British fighter of all time (Calzaghe fans can slap me now, but prime2prime Eubank was better and fought the tougher opponents).

Yep he's a true legend. I was never really into European fighters but Eubank is something different and i really appreciate the guy.

1st fight - the decision should clearly have gone Watson's way.

2nd fight - awful luck for Watson. Granted, Eubank's comeback was stirring but Watson was showing himself to be the better fighter even more clearly that time round.

LEGENDARY PERSONALITY YES, not a legend fighter. Far from it. He held the then newly formed WBO title, WBO Barry hearn + him made alot of money fighting at home.

Great heart and courage mad up for obvious limitations. Stayed undefeated for 44 fights, which is easy to do if you hold the WBO belt (ask Joe Calzaghe).

Was not even a top 3 supermiddle during that Era, but didnt need to be to cash in on ITV's terrestrial market. Toney, Nunn, Jones were around, so Chris did the wise thing and made the most out of good domestic matchups.

A good indication of his ability was he lost to Collins, a guy who had been beaten by Mike Mcullum , Reggie Johnson prior to that.

Thanks for the vid Eubank is a legend :good. On a side note i know that kid in the background on the bags with the black gloves, used to train with him, he just turned pro not to long ago he's one to look out for in the future.
