Yes, you are correct. A 32 year FW fighting a superstar at LW equals a loss. Then he went on to go back to 130 and fought the likes of Fenech (which I thought Fenech was robbed), Ruelas, and Leija. I'll take back done, but he still should not have moved up to LW to fight a superstar at that weight. He looked slow and it was a boring fight. Pea was just playing with him.

If he fought and beat those guys he is arguably in the top 10.

The Rosario fight could have happened but Rosario lost to Juan Nazario who whitaker beat to unify the lightweight crown.

The story to that is that Rosario beat the crap out of Nazario once before and he had to fight Nazario again to decide who fights Pea. Nazario is known for dirty tactics and headbutted Rosario out of a chance to fight Pea. We got robbed out of a possibly good to great match-up.

Again, he is an ATG and I don't think we will see someone with those kind of skills for a long time or maybe never. I happen to see one of his last fights live at MSG against Tito and that was not Pea. Even though rumor has it Pea was off for more than a year and then he took on Tito.

I dont think Nelson was past it when he fought Whitaker, but i agree he was just slightly coming to the end of his prime. I still think physically Nelson still had a lot left though. Enough to beat Whitaker anyway. Its just Whitaker was too skilled for him imo. I dont see Nelson beating Whitaker at his very peak either though.

I guess you could make that case though, because Nelson was having a little bit of trouble with Jim McDonnell before catching up with him, and that was his last fight before the Whitaker fight. Then there were his fights with Fenech after the Whitaker fight, but having said that Nelson was ill the first time he fought Fenech, and he won the rematch pretty emphatically. After the Fenech fights he had two very debatable decisions against Calvin Grove and Ruelas. However like i said i still think Whitaker beat a very good version of Nelson, and prime 4 prime i would pick him everytime anyway.

I think he would of beaten El Chapo. Camacho vs Rosario is pretty much how i think that fight would of gone. Whitaker is better than Camacho though.
