Two hot and cold, uper-talented fighters! Good choice dude....I say Forrest as he actually fought at the higher level and won more than once. Strange that Laing was able to beat Duran was sparked twice by (the admittedly ferocious and devastating hitter) in Colin Jones.

I go for Forrest, via K.O with the big right hand and then the left uppercut.

By the way, I actually think Muhammad would get battered really badly, but I also think there'd be a chance he'd chuck everything at Roy and knock him out. I actually think Roy had a very good chin in his prime and Muhammad was an amazing hitter, one of the best at LHW bar Moore, Foster, Spinks.

    Adamek vs. Saad Muhammad

what a tear up i think Spinks right hands would hurt Matt and keep him off but occasioanly he gets through and hurts Spinks but Spinks skills pay the bills in this match and win him a UD

    Saad Muhammad by stoppage.

Calzaghe loves a tear up as well as a box and he would get one with Muhammad. Unlike B-Hop and Jones, Muhammad fights for as long as he can, and whilst Calzaghe damages his face badly and has a close but clear lead on the cards and seemingly will not stop, a furious exchange against the ropes in round 11 sees Muhammad stun Joe C momentarily, then drop him with a savage combination.

Joe gets up but is feeled again. Calzaghe, for the first time in his career, looks genuinely hurt.

Bang, Muhammad hits with with a huge left uppercut, Calzaghe's out, and people wonder why Enzo didn't throw in the towel sooner.

    A shocking upset.

i like Mccalum here, Basilios a hard fight but he will be abit littler and not so good technically.

I can see it being a right tear up with McCallums skills and body work paying dividends in the later rounds where Basilio will be hurt from the body shots and the accurate hard shots of Mike, Mike then has a big push in the last 3 rounds to get a clear hard foguht UD

Mickey Ward vs Carmen Basilio @ WW over 12 (2 regular FOTY participants)

It's up and you're right. We've never seen Calzaghe lose. However, seeing how Roy had him hurt and how desperate Calzaghe was to make B-Hop fight him, I say Muhammad, was was strong, fast, could be technical when he wanted but usually abandoned boxing in case of aggression....well, when hurt against Kessler Joe just changed his style a bit, but I think Muhammad is clearly about five notches above Kessler at this stage, and against the late 70's/early 80's LHW's I don't think Calzaghe would be as dominant, Hell, I don't think he would beat Muhammad, Dwight Q'Awi or any those guys, specially not Spinks.

Although I can envision his outboxing Muhammad, constantly shifting gears and changing tactics, I can similarly see the scenario I posted above; them trading when Muhammad has been hurt but it's beena mix or brawl and chess match, and that's when Saad picks his moment to strike and drops Joe C is a lightning fast flurry of power and accuracy that he has yet to see in his pro career (B-Hop isn't a massive puncher through he's precise, Jones was shot to Hell) and never will see.

Saad Muhammad as we know is no Jeff Lacy.

I think Ward would be stopped. Basilio was not a massive hitter, but they also allowed fights to go on longer back then.

Mind you, Gatti vs. Ward was a right 50's tear-up, maybe it goes the distance. But Basilio wins, WIDE.

Kid Gavilan vs. Floyd Mayweather JR at WW

totally agree with that i think it would be 1 sided and boring

i think Gavilan wins this as he was more mobile at WW and faster and bigger puncher so Gavilan UD (floyd is rubbish at WW imo)

Gavilan vs Oscar De Lahoya at WW over 15 and 12

good analyzation, but I also think Jones would be slowed down by the extra weight at 175. Combined with Saad's amazing late fight comeback majic. I think Saad would score the late rally victory in about the fourteenth or fifteenth round.

Good fight with Gavilan having too many skills for Oscar. Gavilan had a very fine chin, so oscar wouldn'y kayo him. Gavilan would win by UD and a wider UD over 15 rounds.

    Probably a repeat of Carter-Giardello.

Rubin would make Nard fighter pretty conservatively, might give him a few rough Echols moments..but in the end would lose wide on the cards.
Then both would go grab a coffee at a New Jersey diner. :admin
