Peter does have speed and throws straight punches...

Peter does have prety quick hands. Always noticed it but many people miss it since he's rarely throwing in combination and mostly swings wild haymakers. Straight punches however are almost completely absent from his arsenal.

 

i was a fan of peter's originally, up until the the wlad fight where all that straight punching went out the window.. it kinda seems like he got worse, or maybe its just the opposition that got better?

 

I wonder if his spectacular KO of Jeremy Williams caused him to trust in his swinging style too much. Only takes one big swing for a highlight KO... but the better opposition was better at avoiding it. A motivated and focused Peter could very well walk through Chambers. But which Peter will we see? Friday night will be fun to watch!

 

I don't know what you guys are talking about. He's not fast at all, especially for such a small heavyweight.

 

I really think Peter actually looked better in his wins right before his fight with Wlad when he was 240 pounds. I always thought Peter should work on quickness, sharpness and stamina which would bring him down from 255 to about 240 lbs.

if Peter throws str8 punches then Chambers is in trouble...but a wild Peter will be countered and outjabbed and outworked to a UD...

people that talk trash about peter just just assholes. peter was a world champ. only loses twice to the best in the world. He has ****ing deadily punching power and i think eddie might be in problems early 2-3 round. eddies fast but u cant run form a bull all night without getting hit soemtime. straight up hes not fast at all. peter is Vit,, was a big man just standing there getting rocked and doing nothing. his is a big fight for eddie and a must win. hopefully eddie get super fast cause i tihnk a couple of this last fight(last 3), supposlly he wasnt that fast and impressive agasit c-d level fighters.

my guess peters blow through him actaully like oleg. eddie will be looking good then,, smash, lights out

 

Peter has always had speed for the first few rounds. He has underrated speed in general.

 

even though peter won the maskaev fight.. he looked sloppy doing it.. and peter should take flak for quiting on the stool against vit.. he hasnt been bashed nearly as much as vit after the byrd fight.. and vit was legitimetely injured..
