i really hope Briggs gets a shot against Valuev. I honestly think that it's the only way he wins the title again.

I like Shannon Briggs, but I do NOT think he can beat Vitali Klitschko.......... Wlad Klitschko? Hmmmm... Maybe.? If Briggs can land flush, he can win on just about anyone right now..... BUT! Vitali's beard is MUCH better then that of younger bro. Wladimir........ Still, I do wanna see Briggs get his chance---AGAIN!!:yep

The only people who think Wlad is boring are the people looking for him to lose. They get frustrated out of there wits as he puts on a boxing clinic and then stops his opponent.

That's a load of ****...at least I said most people...now you say "the only people..."...wtf ?

Boxing Clinics like against Iggy...???...or maybe stoppages like when he took twice as long as Toney to stop Rahman (don't tell me about the BS decision either, Toney made him quit), Hasim didn't think about staying on the stool once vs. Wlad.

C'mon, Suge...you know the reason why Rahman never gave up against Wlad...there was more at stake.

    You know that, man.

I think that because of Manny, his skills are now used in a more reasonable manner. Blitzing your opponent throwing wasteful punches and leaving yourself off balance isn't the best game plan. However, what Wlad does now is just beautiful. He immediately comes out controlling his opponents distance, aggression, and balance with his jab. Then he begins to set the pace of the fight with his jab, hook off the jab... showing an amazing ability completely outbox every single opponent with just his left hand if he chooses. Then he begins to slam through an occasional right as they are so occupied with his left. By this time his opponents are physically and mentally breaking down. He is in complete control of everything. Then he brings the heat on more and more, round after round and then it is just a matter of wondering if it will be one big right hand, one big left hook, an accumulation of shots, a mercy stoppage from the ref, or whether his opponents corner will save him. Only having 2 fights go the distance in the last 8 years, and a KO percentage higher than that of Mike Tyson, Lennox Lewis, David Tua, Muhammad Ali, Joe Frazier, Jack Dempsey, Joe Louis, ect... I can't see how ANY real boxing fan actually finds that boring. People also overlook exactly how great Wlad's defense is. How many times do you honestly even see a clean punch landed on the man?

To be honest, I find that more fun to watch than someone getting knocked out in the first round and you still have a full beer, and 90% of your snacks aren't even opened yet. I was wishing like hell that Austin would get his ass back up and keep fighting.

did Briggs run out of breath during this interview? or did he talk for 3 seconds then do nothing for 2 and a half minutes?

Shannon is a cool enough guy to probably laugh about that.

...and realistic enough to know that his biggest challenge isn't a Klitschko, it's conditioning. He's working on it now, doing roadwork. That's the hardest part. The next hardest part is getting Uncle Manny to relax, and not try to prevent it...

I hear ya man... but dominance is boring to many people. I remember reading Beckett Baseball Card Monthly when Greg Maddux was in his heyday. I remember the quote to this day: "He's so good, he's almost boring." I loved watching him, but I imagine a lot of people didn't like seeing groundball after groundball, only a few strikeouts. So it is with Wlad. Most people just won't understand.

I think that you might be forgetting the part about actually getting back into the ring and beating a worthy opponent in order to make a title shot make any sense whatsoever?

It's downright hilarious that the man hasn't fought in almost 2 years. Just now claims to have been finally training for about 3-4 weeks... and is already acting like he is being ducked and nobody will give him a shot.:rofl

He's acting like his name is Lennox Lewis or something. His last fight was almost 2 years ago, and he got his ears boxed off by Ibragimov.

What's better...???...to have been outboxed by Sultan...or to have been stopped by journeymen and golfers...???

Please tell me it was a long time ago, like you are saying about Briggs' loss...:nono
