    you know, i've seen these sparring vids and it leaves me somewhat confused. erik looked like dog**** in there, like he was only on defense or something. i remember there was a vid of the two of them sparring in a public workout right before the fight and valero was handling him, reeeeeal bad. those things are to hype up fights and there was erik, getting thrashed in sparring! the actual fight was a total different story though. morales was almost the vintage el terrible, fighting like a man obsessed. i wonder if he was just over trained or weight drained, or a little disinterested. hmmm...
    weird to watch that stuff.

    Well, you would at least admit Pitalua is dangerous then right? I think his KO % is about 90% and he has not lost since 2000. I'm not saying he is a great opponent but a good one for Valero to fight for his return to the states. Neither one actually have a choice who they are fighting because this is a for the vacated WBC LW title so it is the WBC who determines who fights for it. If Valero steamrolls Pitalua (which I expect), are you going to completely discredit the win?:think

    valero needs around 20 Jeff M's to hype Valero. After all there is nothing to talk about valero except mosqueda..

    velero beats mosqueda

    therefore for jeff M, there is ENOUGH reason for VALERO to beat pac, hatton, jmm....etc :lol::nut

    BHOP prolly beats Valuev imo...Valuev is slow and BHOP will own the speed that night...I doubt he beats Vitali and would have to land a lucky punch to beat Wlad..I'll favor Wlad over BHOP too...

    As far as this video those 2 are sparring and ne 1 who has ever sparred knows that sparring is a whole different thing than the real fight...

    Sparring is alot like batting practice...u see guys get good hits and hit hr's all the time in batting practice...

    Juss cuz Valero did well here in this sparring session means **** when it comes to a real fight!

    why should i? i do not hate valero. i'd be supporting him if that happens. i'm unlike you icarus.

    Okay cool but one thing. This is the only name I've ever had here. I don't know who "Icarus" is but obviously was here before I joined. I give Pac-Man credit when he wins ( as well as have picked him to win) everytime. Why woudln't I? He proved me right against ODLH and I think he will make my prediction about him beating Hatton come true. It would not make sense to not give him credit for wins that went exactly the way I predicted they would. Just because I have issues with his resume and that some fans are now over-hyping him after he beat Oscar senseless does not mean I do not like him. Some of the things I've heard here have soured me on Pac at the moment but on May 2nd I'll be behind him.

    we're cool on that. i was just thinking you're that guy icarus because of the bhop calzaghe avatar he used to use.. you're not like him, though judging from your posts. he resorts to namecalling and racist remarks when he's getting cornered.

    Jeff, Im one of those who constantly telling you that valero is still raw....And after seeing the video, It didn't change my mind.....Sparring is different from the real fight, and Valero has yet to prove himself..Has he faced an opponent that could prove that he's a top dog? I dont think so....But til then, he is not yet an ELITE FIGHTER but a PROSPECT....you know, there is a difference there..
