Lee looked bad the other night end of story!Ring rust maybe, but then he should be fighting more often. We were told he was off getting the eye done thats fair enough but it opened immediately and hes off to Manchester today to get it done which begs the question what has he being doing for the last 8 months.I like Andy personally he's a great guy i think he has unlimited talent but that type of opponent will always cause Andy bother and that is a problem as Pavlik and Abraham fight exactly like that only better.I cant see him leaving the Kronk they seem like a family so he just needs to stay in America more (3 fights to 1 in ireland)and stay active.Box every two months or so.Then he may fulfill the potential some of us on this thread think he has.

Corrupt *******s, Dunne winning the Title wasn't in their script. :fire

Off topic, Listened to the download of the show tonight, Very good interview with Harry Hawkins. Keep up the good work Paddy, and if you get your interview with Brian Peters could you give him a big thank you from me, the paying punter and a well satisfied one at that.

He's shown great faith in Bernard and he is a different breed as far as promoters go, He obviously is in it to make money but he's not like the others, he genuinely want's to give the people a great show, That is so rare these days in the world of boxing.

According to the the scene Pavlik and Abraham are in talks for a unification fight in the Autumn, Provided they win their next fights.
That's good news for Duddy because he will get another few fights under his belt and hopefully make enough progress under Pat Burns to be ready for a Title shot at the start of 2010.
    What do you lads think?

Hello Mick, Lee was quite simply poor on Saturday. He may well have been rusty, but he also seemed devoid of ideas when Sipos attacked, trying to use reflexes for defence instead of tucking up, and too many times he needlessly allowed himself to get trapped on the ropes. His jab was pathetic. I could go on but I hope you've got the point by now. I can't see Lee returning home, but he do with a fresh perspective coaching wise, as you have rightly stated there does not seem to be any improvement in the last year.

Are you going to the show in Salthill?

I would agree with that, Duddy is on a learning curve for now. So there is no point rushing him into a contest he might not be ready for.

How are you Ardy - long time no speak. I will be going to the show in Salthill although I have to admit I don't know too much about the fighters involved. The number of new promoters/promotions out there is a testament to the healthy state Irish boxing finds itself in today.
I am looking forward to the first big Belfast promotion, probably Rogan. It will be a good excuse to get up there and avail of the cheap shopping.
