Who will succeed the most in the paid ranks?

A few have turned pro now.

Demetrius Andrade is the best out of the class.. he is a 6'1 junior MW (possibly can move down to 147, but probably going to campaign at 154-160) , with good reach, speed and power... I would like to see him fight better opposition on the way up.

    to early to tell.

i only remmber wilder from the olympics with any clarity, but doing poorly in olympic boxing matches means **** all as to how far you can go as a pro and i would expect a few of them to emerge as very good pro`s.

not wilder though, unless he has a granite chin, which his build of fighter at heavy rarely if ever have.

Andrade seems to be the best of the pack, but far too early to tell right now.

A pity that the best olympian hasnt turn pro yet!

Without any doubt Lomachenko was the most outstanding fighter of the entire olympic tournament.

Lomachenko is amazing. Fortunatley Rigondeaux, who missed out The Games, is with us now. Of the US Team, Andrade has the biggest potential. Lara, Cuban Team Captain before defecting, should be mentioned as well, he would've brought home the gold.

    Lucky dog!!!!:good

I very much hope that Rigondeaux will showcase his skills in Europe, too.
I would love to watch him live somewhere in GErmany.
Has he already signed a contract with GErman based promoter Oener??

My only info is through the media, and an Arena press release confirmed back in 2007, when Lara and Rigondeaux tried to defect, they signed a 5-year contract with Öner. Of course they were brought back to Cuba. Lara went to Miami later that year and Rigondeaux landed there early this year, and another press release confirmed Rigondeaux being part of Arena.

But a few days ago Irish newspapers reported that Gary Hyde, promoter of the 3 Cubans fighting in Ireland, claims he signed Rigondeaux as well and will boycott Guillermo's US debut (not allowing the FSAC to give out the licence) and wants him to fight in Ireland. No news since then and I didn't hear any reply from the international media. I surely hope he signed with Arena and will stay with Arena as long as Öner is capable to put down the money for the good opposition, crowded shows in Miami and the TV dates with HBO, Showtime, ESPN and German networks. Based on the management of Gamboa, Arena looks exactly the promotion which could get a televised world title fight for Rigondeaux in 12-18 months, and there's nothing more important than that.

You hit it on the nose, bigbone! At the moment Oener seems to be the perfect promoter for Rigondeaux. His promotion has money, can provide American and German tv exposure, matches his boys toughly with good and recognisable names.Oener seems to have a lucky hand with Cuban fighters.I for my part strongly dislike that German based Turk-he is not a very likeable personality, and some of actions have been highly debatable. However, honour where honour is due.He does a good job with Gamboa,Solis,Kretschman, and Lara.
I very much hope that Rigondeaux wont be involved in any legal wars which can put off his pro career.
His God given talent should be seen by all fight fans across the globe.
He is in a race against time.A huge pearl in an oyster which hasnt been opened yet.
Damn! He and Lomachenko have the potential to be all times greats whose bewitching performances will be memorable for any real box aficionado within the next few generations.

Out of the Americans that have turned I would expect Russell to go the farthest, along with Andrade.
