Anybody heard anything about where Froch is training, how it's going etc?

He's seems to be doing a lot of tv and radio interviews. Fair play to him for doing his bit to promote the fight but given that it's only 5 weeks away I would have thought that he would be too far into serious preparations by now to want to be distracted.

I know it's common for fighters to do promo tours a few weeks before their fight but they usually are well into their training schedules by then. This fight was only confirmed the week before last so can't see Froch being in full time training prior to this. He seems to keep himself in good shape between fights so at least that's one good thing. Hope he hasn't underestimated Taylor.

Doubt Froch will take Taylor lightly, he's always dead fit anyway,

  4. Froch is one of the most meticulous trainers in the sport, he doesn't leave anything to chance

I'm a little bit worried about his training too. Why change training base when supposedly the training in Ireland went so well for Pascal?
Secondly, in todays BBC.com interview he referred to a few niggles, a rib injury, a twisted ankle. Not good noise at all.

Did anyone else think his face looked a bit marked up on the bunce hour a couple of weeks ago?

...nah...you're worrying too much, about the wrong kind of thing. Should be worried about what Taylor's doing/not doing, imo.:p

I hope Froch is doing some explosive/speed drills.

I don't want to see him look like he's fighting in quicksand again.

He said he's doing loads of sprints, etc., because he's training for burst of power punching. The worrying thing for him is that he's been doing exactly that for Pascal as well...:think

Froch will be in shape, i've little doubt. Think he is planning on going stateside 3 weeks before fight night which should be plenty. The bloke just likes to be busy (with his company e.t.c.) and he manages is on top of his training.

Silly to hate anyone who hasn't really harmed you, your family or your friends intentionally...even in this case, it's best not to... :conf

I read that Breaffy house was a dump for the last camp.

Why is he training in Essex for this fight? From what I can gather he usually trains in designated camps in Ireland or Tenerife. Surely the facilities would be better out there than a gym in Essex.

I agree, Froch is too much of a serious operator to blow this through lack of prep.

    (great avatar BTW)
