Recently, I've been watching a string of European fights to catch up after a looong study period. So far Martin Rogan has caught my eye. Granted, the man is 37 and he's only been fighting European (mainly from the United Kingdom) competition, but he put on one hell of a fight with Matt Skelton! Rogan and Skelton both took scary shots, but it looked like Rogan took the toughest shots in that fight. It's been a while since I've sat wide-eyed in amazement of a boxer's chin.

I think the guy (Rogan) is a spirited boxer, with an entertaining swarming style and a tough chin. I don't think he'll be able to tough it out with the rangier Klitschko Bros. (AKA Brother's Boring*) or perhaps take the crisp firepower of David Haye, but I will say he'll put on a show. He's a refreshing fighter in a increasingly stagnant weight division.

I'd say, a real punchfest would be Martin Rogan Vs. Alexander Povetkin.

All in all, I'm not saying Rogan's the next heavyweight champ, but I do think he lives up to his boxrec nickname, "Rogie the Entertainer".

What do you guys think of Martin Rogan?

*Brothers Boring- I'm not a hater, but it's true. They are boring, or at least Wlad is the really boring one, while Vitali at least tries a little harder. Still generally boring though.

European level at best. He could be out boxed quite easily, even Skelton was doing it before he got sloppy and tired.

Would be hard to stop though, seems like he has a great chin and heart.

Hes a good guy whos got heart. Hes doing his best and hes not done bad for starting a career late and being in his late 30's. He beat Harrison and Skelton (I know you might not consider them top but still...) and then he might beat Danny Williams or Sprott.

Nice guy, but his chin suck balls. Kind of chubby, love the moustache though. But I don't like his new tan... and I hear he's into shemales.

By the way, who the **** is Martin Rogan?

Rogie is the shite. Modern day throw-back fighter. That's why they call him the "The Entertainer." He doesn't have much skill, but, what he lacks in that department, he makes up with sheer determination and heart. How can u not love the guy?

Rogan is fun to watch but has left it too late to develop any skills that would take him anywhere better than he is now.

Just last year Matt Skelton would have won that fight but he's now in his early-mid 40's (depending on who you you ask) and cant be involved in wars like that.

he has a lack of skill would like to see him get some training sessions from a top trainer. he is gutsy has decent power and a granite chin. i honestly think if he fought valuev and valuev fought the way he did against holyfield rogie would have him. he has decent stamina for a big man as well as shown by his late K.O of skelton who had never even been knocked down before meeting rogan

i respect the bloke a lot but people have got to stop saying stupid **** like this. povetkin-rogan would be a short lived, one sided slaughter.
