Where the **** is Ibragimov anyway?

This guy is a top 5 heavyweight when he's on form. I really hate he hasn't retired after the Wlad loss.

Ibragimov is retired. He's got what he wanted out of the game. He's happy with his wife and the money he has accrued - he has no interest in coming back now.

I'm surprised Arreola or Haye are top 10 material. Neither seems to have beaten a live body.

    I agree

Surprised to see Dimitrenko there as well, apart from old versions of Krasinqi and Hoffman he hasn't beaten anyone of quality.

For the record these are Fightnews' rankings. They're pretty reliable usually.

    1. Wladimir Klitschko
    2. Vitali Klitschko
    3. Ruslan Chagaev
    4. Nikolai Valuev
    5. Alexander Povetkin
    6. Samuel Peter
    7. Alexander Dimitrenko
    8. Juan Carlos Gomez
    9. Sultan Ibragimov
    10. David Haye

Even Krasniqi and Hoffman are better than Barrett and Bonin in truth...and Travis Walker. So in that respect he deserves his place above them.

I think Ruiz, as much as I hate him..he's unlucky to miss out considering what he has done in comparison to these guys.

When guys like Winky Wright, Shane Mosley and Jermain Taylor moved to other weight divisions they immediately get high rankings i.e. top 5. But in this case we have Haye lower than Dimitrenko and Arreola who have achieved nothing of any note.

They shouldn't anyway. Nobody should get a top 10 ranking for doing nothing in a division. There are too many question marks for that to happen, they should have to prove themselves first.

Even more so in the heavyweight. Cruiserweight to heavyweight is one hell of a difference. It's not like moving from lightweight to light welter. David Haye being cruiserweight champion should mean precisely nothing, and frankly wins over Barrett and Bonin would not grant you top 10 status.

More or less officially he is retired altough there are still whispers he might comeback.
    I doubt it.

Yea I see no reason for Haye to be listen top 10 after one outting in that weight. . . Against Monte Barret who was 5 - 5 in the past 3 years. . It was a serious decline after Wlad.

What troubles me is Maskaev. He fights nobodies, hasn't done anything worthwhile in years and is still in the top 10 (and I like the guy). But the thing is, I don't know who I'd replace him with - maybe keep Gomez in? Damn.

I'd favour Chambers over Oleg at this point, too, but don't really want him in my top 10 yet either... maybe we should just leave 7-10 "unrated".
