when I am out and about alot of people who dont know me at all approach me to ask me things or to ask I take photos of them, etc, etc it happens all the time this is no concidence - it that I got a nice energy about me and people feel they can approach me but theres no way they would approach someone with a more ****ish energy
Flint - being a Welshman like myself you've probably heard the same local stories I have a million times over - it seems every man and his dog has a mate who has knocked Joe Calzaghe out in a night club or a pub at some point.... It's amazing Joe has any teeth left the amount of times I've heard somebody has sparked him out. That tale used to get told a lot about Naz too I think.
Not really - I live 50 or 60 miles away from Cwbrawn so it is not local enough However the only story I heard about Calzaghe was he goes out to Caridff nightclubs with bouncers surrounding him and he just stares at people really mean like he is going to punch their faces in
I've been in Calzaghe's company once and he seemed like a nice guy although I didn't have the chance to speak to him. One of my best mates has met him a couple of times and he has nothing but good things to say about Joe, very down to earth and just a normal family guy.
Naz used to come to my local snooker club in Wakefield quite often..... Its Joe Johnsons club...... Naz seemed a really nice guy from what I have heard and seen.... I never said more than Hi to him, but Ive heard only good things about him
It's the way that Joe's support for a anti-bullying awareness scheme is being criticised by some bloke who used to know some one who' brother went to school with him. It's a very bitter take on it... Joe is recanting his bad experience in the hope someone else can relate to their own situation and take heart in his strength and success in living a happy life.
He should find an outlet for his bitterness....like on E.S.B there's plenty of bitter people on here.
Of all the big name pros I've met, I can honestly say they've all been very pleasant and down to earth nice guys. I've never met anyone who's been a real ***** (or at least acted it towards me). I've even randomly bumped into boxers in the street (Michael Gomez in Manchester and Souleymane M'Baye in Cardiff) when they were "off duty", just minding their own business, and they've still had the good grace to stop and chat. I think generally most boxers are pretty decent guys. Evander Holyfield though did seem a little aloof. He wasn't rude or particularly unpleasant, just kind of got the impression he was preoccupied.
Because he never knew why he didn't get the respect he thought he deserved for being a 10 year "Champ" in his WBO reign of error He was calling himself a legend of the sport before he fought Manfredo Jr and claiming he has achived everything and doesn't need to prove anymore
Strange how he liked to showboat and humiliate his opponents in the ring when he could. Considering that and certain aspects of his career he seems to have a little bit of the bully in himself. At least it's only in the ring against a willing opponent so it's ok, but it's interesting.
Yeah, like I say, it's just the regular bull**** that does the rounds. Sad. I've heard about five or six different versions of Joe getting sparked and I recall similar urban myths circulating about Naz back in the day.
Pride Of Wales....................Calzaghe "****ed him out" of a few quid so Joe could line his own pockets even more despite being a mulit millioniare the ****ish streak never dies no matter how much money you got if you a **** you will still try to **** people out of more money
