If you include Benn and Eubank, Steve Collins must get in there. At least into the 80 bracket good list, get Casamayor up top too
yeah his fights with Eubank aren't up on youtube either, shame really. He went the distance with Reggie Johnson and McCallum too, tho Mac beat him well. But that was before Roach, who made him a better fighter. Shame I was too young to see his heydey, though
Rosario, Whitaker, Carbajal, Nelson, Lopez, McCallum, Norris, Fenech already are asero and they are just the ones off the top of my head. I struggle to see why Edwin would be 50-50 based on current criteria. I cant for the life of me understand why you have Alvarez in there over Hamed or Chang..His record is quite poor next to theirs. And whilst a good fighter not on their level. I dont care for the HOF anymore..they are to inconsistent and frankly I smell a whiff of corruption or at least favoritism in their inclusions and exclusions.
The score cards werent close....:huh The first half was mostly all Mike...the second half was very competitive, Collins took some rounds but didnt sweep the last half by any means.
i put a lot of value on the skill of lopez so i feel alvarez must be ranked above hamed for being able to stand toe to toe in 2 fights with lopez.. hamed can not win prime vs prime against any 126 hall of famers and if you can not win, what does it say to your overall ability?
So Alvarez goes 1-0-1 with a past prime Lopez and you rank him over Hamed who beat and often KTFO several guys on or superior to Alvarez's skill level, whilst being the man at his weight for close to half a decade? Please name me all the great fighters Alvarez had beat and went on to beat.... Hamed is a decent shot at a lot of great featherweights with his power...but the fact he doesnt rate H2H that well says a lot more about the history and strength of the division than it does about Hamed. Being a great fighter at straweight does not mean the same as being a great fighter at feather. I mean if you are going to make skill level and H2H ability such an important criteria then why is Chang only a 80% shot at getting in? Another one to go back to the drawing board for asero..as has been pointed out some of the guys you mentioned might not make it in are already in there. :nut
chang lacks resume... alvarez KD and draw with lopez who is heavily favored against him...no one called lopez shot before the alvarez fight i still believe that lopez best performance was in 1996 against ala villamor
and now you get it...or at least I hope so. Chang actually beat better fighters than Alvarez did. And looked better doing it. Therefore his resume is superior to Alvarez's. Therefore if he "lacks resume" then so does Rosendo and your whole logic for putting him over Chang falls apart. No one called Lopez shot and neither did I...but he was 32 after being a champion for nearly a decade. He fought 3 more times after their series and retired. If your claim to fame is knocking down a great fighter on the way to a inconclusive technical draw, then getting beaten by him in the rematch then jesus the backlog of fighters for pushing for a spot into the HOF would be huge. As there have been plenty of guys throughout history who have "achieved" something similar and not much else.
