Ali - Frazier, Vasquez - Marquez are my personal favorites. Bowe - Holyfield, and Patterson - Johansson were great as well. I havent seen the complete trilogy's of the others except Duran - Leonard.

Gatti-Ward for me but I am a huge Ward fan. I feel Ali-Frazier gets overrated. Interesting stylistic matchup but eh the second fight left a bad taste in my mouth.

yeah. ha. i'm not even an aussie by birth. i suppose i liked him for the same reasons i like tomasz adamek. guys who are tough, first and foremost, but not just tough. i really thought he was chronically underrated--and that it was his own fault for underperforming when the world was watching. then, of course, he retired just when he started making noise again in a new division.

The other problem is that footage of all three fights is hard to get or simply doesn't exist.

    I voted Barerra Morales.

The results were skwede in the first two fights with Marco getting a bit robbed in the first one and Morales in the second, but the third fight was just right and as far as top flight skill and high output goes this was amazing.

    Ali Frazier.

The second leg was a good fight, nothing spectacular.

But any trilogy that includes the FOTC and the Thrilla in Manila, has a serious head start.

yeah. all three fights were filmed, i know that for certain...and reel to reel copies were made...i saw reel to reels of the three fights about a hundred times projected on a basement wall at the boys and girls club in my neiborhood when i was a kid. i have only ever seen highlights from the fights--only the second and third--digitally transferred. i am curious to make some inquiries now and find out if there is a digital transfer of the fights entire.

I voted for Barrera-Morales....I mean those guys came to go to war in every fight plus the story behind the fight is a good 1...

    Nice one!
I guess "epic" is one word for it.

I'd of liked to have voted for Johansson/Patterson or Leonard/Duran, but "of all times" seems to me like one that lasts even in the memory of the general public several generations later.

vazquez-marquez is the best...because every round is a candidate for round of the year

barrera-morales is very interesting in the sense that it is a big fight and the odds are almost even in their last 2 fights of their trilogy...add that to the bad blood between them and their massive fan base and you get a fight for the ages
