David Haye has power, speed, and outside of the ring charisma. Could he be the next Ali? He already claims he would be Ali in a boxing fight. I don't know about that but...

Will he dominate both Klitchkos and take over the division as the next ATG Heavyweight witnessed right before our very eyes?!

I think the question should be not whether he will be the next Ali but how many rounds it would take Haye to dismantle him prime for prime.

You could probably count them on the one hand.

I really hope you're being sarcastic, but just in case...

So... does that mean Haye's already past his prime? Or did you use a time machine to analyze his entire future career?

Wait until the man hits his prime before doodling hearts around his name in your notebook.

I was comparing the fan build-up for the haye/Wlad fight to the fan build-up of the lacy/Calzaghe fight.

both Lacy and Hayes fans seem so sure that their fighter is or was going to knock out the more experienced man.

I wasn't comparing resumes or abilities.

Nope...i'm comparing the delusional fans of the two fighters. I thought I was quite clear in stating that in post number one.

I compare the build-up to the two fights.

Did you flunk comprehensive reading in school?

    No.

Knocked down against Thompson and Mormeck. Has shown a lack of stamin past the mid rounds, doesnt have anywhere near the defensive prowess that Ali had. Haye is a reflex fighter, once his speed goes he would be left with nothing but a big punch.

I think Wlad is absolutely going to **** him up personally. The difference in boxing fundamentals and skill is going to be profound. Haye is going to struggle with the jab, the ring generalship, the power, and the timing of Wladimir, and also being the smaller man in the ring. And I believe Wladimir is physically stronger than Haye as well, despite Haye being more muscularly bulky.
Haye's aggressiveness is going to be quickly tempered by Wladimir's superior tact and sound boxing. He is going to be forced to try to close the gap and bring the fight to Wladimir and is going to get frustrated and tired out in the clinches. The first big punch Wlad lands will be telling. If Haye takes it, the fight goes into the later rounds. If he gets hurt, it will be over by the 8th, likely sooner.

I can easily see Haye getting caught with a well placed left hook and get absolutely staggered and spun around by a straight right, and that could happen in the 1st or 2nd, any round for that matter.

That's just the way you're seeing it, dude. Of course my thread is based on the assumption that Wlad is going to win the fight. I am assuming this due to the clear advantages he has in this match-up...the advantages that Haye fans seem to ignore or not see. that's no guarantee that he'll win.

I am simply noticing the similarities of fan reactions before the fights. If you have a problem with that, I feel sorry for you.
