True, but you can not deny that boxing has gone thru many low points and it takes a truly special fighter to get it through those times. Dempsey, Ali, Tyson, Leonard, and De La Hoya were all fighters that brought boxing back into the mainstream. If you dont believe that then you have no idea what you're talkiing about.
How can you not? Boxing is a young man's sport. No other way around it. With the exception of a few: Hopkins, Robinson, Duran, and Foreman most boxers are past their primes at 32+. Just the way it is. Any sport. You're body cannot produce at the same level that it did when you were younger. De La Hoya at his prime would've destroyed Pacquiao. If Morales did it, De La Hoya would have easily done it.
Wow she is amazing. Oscar is overrated in my view as well, but not by a whole lot. He did fight well enough against Tito and Mosley to get a possible win. Although Sturm and Whitaker both beat him for damn sure.
Yes they were, never said they weren't. People dont acknowledge those wins as great wins though because of their age, likewise I dont think people should hold it too much against DLH for his losses against the 2 p4p #1 as he himself was old.
