Thinking back throughout Boxing History how many ATG fighters are there that had a Glass Jaw?

I am of the opinion if you have a Glass Jaw you are not a legit ATG.

    Thoughts?

Depends on how bad, if it's too bad you can't even make it near the top, case and point is the Olympian Michael Bennett.

It's not a matter of saying if you have a Glass Jaw you are not a great, true glass jaws simply will never amount to having achieved that status. It's impossible. I don't care how good your defence is.

But then again you are far too liberal with the use of this word.

I can't think off hand, but Floyd Patterson certainly didn't have the best chin at Heavyweight, but we also must take into consideration he was not a natural Heavyweight like other greats. I think Wlad is future ATG and I think he has the stats to be in that glass jaw category.

Glass jaw? No. Even Pernell Whitaker took big shots in his schoolings over Chavez, Nelson, and Mayweather. If a glass-jawed fighter gets hit by those guys, they got down and they do not get back up.

  11. Thomas Hearns- an ATG with a shaky jaw...
    Floyd Patterson..

If a boxer with a glass is good enough defensively to be punched so little yet has the resume to even be considered an atg....then **** yes, it surely makes them one of the most skilled boxers ever.

Terry Norris and Floyd Patterson are the only 2 ATG's with Glass Jaw's. Hearns had a shaky chin and caused him problems but I'll give him the benefit of the doubt.

If Terry Norris had a chin I believe he would have been one of the best ever.

A shaky chinned fighter? Yes, there are plenty of those types of ATG fighters out there. But a pure glass chinned fighter? I don't know.... if Wlad somehow achieves true ATG status then I guess he'll answer your question for you.
