I know that Dwight is a stand up guy being a drug and alcohol counselor today in retirement.
I recently watched his rematch with Saad Muhammad and his fight with Leon Spinks. Dwight really appeared to enjoy pummeling both those guys, grinning constantly, evening showboating at times, especially against Leon. In the Spinks fight he almost seemed like he was saying" I lost to your brother, so I'll take it out on you." And always with that evil grin on his face.
I know that Marvin Hagler took no pity on his challengers, and trained and fought like every fight was WAR, could the same be said of Qawi?

Yes, he sure looked sadistic in the ring.

Now I think most fighters have to be a little sadistic to succeed, but Qawi either is more sadistic than most fighters, or at least showed it more.

He often had that little smirk on his face like he was enjoying his work A LOT(!!) I always enjoyed his work, and can't help but think that he would rule the lightheavy roost today, and that includes Hopkins and Dawson.

In some ways the cruelest fighters are the ones who see what they are doing as completely impersonal.

Qawi had a deviated septum and never could breath properly through his nose..... His ginning was also a result of sucking air through his mouth..

Alexis arguello would be another example, just as cool as Ice. I think that chavez was sadistic, he just seemed to enjoy punishing his opponents bodies.

Taking a fight with Foreman when you're barely 5'7" was a bit sadistic.
