That's a bold statement. The Wright who fought Taylor shows up he takes a solid UD, the Wright who fought Trinidad gets every round, guaranteed.

Winky should win by UD comfortably, the only way he loses is if he really is completely shot. Someone as sloppy has Williams shouldn't be able to beat a master technician like Winky, but then again he's old, and hasn't fought for a while...

I'm not finding you one moth****er, do that yourself, but there have been plenty of examples I've read on here comparing hearns to Williams simply because of the whole height similarity.... but my comment wasn't literal anyway, I just meant that you can't say that this guy is a future great just yet. Let him crack into the top 10 p4p and accomplish a little more in the way of championship caliber fighters on his resume and then you can say things like that. You all who are claiming he can beat anyone from 147 to 160 are going a little overboard here.

I wouldn't. Winky at his best is an top 100 ATG and is superior to Paul Williams. His jab is one of the best I've seen and his defense is excellent as well. Combine that with underrated toughness, ring generalship and strength and I would pick Winky everytime out over Williams.

Winky of five years ago would have won. I think Winky's age and inactivity will really show in this fight. The other wild card is Williams' trouble with southpaws, but as long as Williams doesn't try anything too fancy, he should be able to win on workrate. Winky's had some trouble pulling the trigger ever since the Soliman fight.

A defensive minded fighter won't be affected by ring rust too much. Therefore Winky has a good chance of outboxing Williams. Interestingly you won't find any Winky Wright shots on you tube, apparently there's no big fan base. Still I have Winky winning by UD, because of his ringsmarts and jab.

Yeah, there are posts that compare him to Hearns as far as height, etc. But none of his fans have ever said he is the next Hearns. And there may be one or even two people who say he can beat everyone from 147-160. So you ain't read ****!

You keep talking about "all you fans" and "you all" but you can't name one person who has actually said any of this. Just a figment of your imagination. So if Williams loses, you can laugh all you want to, but he can always go down to 154 and 147 and clean house.

I hope Williams wins.I dont dislike wright but he can be boring to watch,he has also been around a long time and the sport needs to move on.I think Wright has had his time and hope to see a convincing win by stoppage for Williams.

Winky has no chance to get the decision. This is the last fight of his contract with HBO. Expect replay from Vargas fight. Winky used as a stepping stone.

Yea could be a close one but leaning towards Williams because of his workrate and Winky's inactivity but Winky def has a chance.
