I would probably go with Rocky Myself as would most, but frankly I think this could have been a very good fantasy fight.

This would be a one sided slaughter...marciano early Kayo. Glass Jaw and predictable Plodding don't mix against a marciano.

The thing is though that if this fight ever had been it would have been a declining Marciano against a prime Machen.

    That might make things interesting.

In truth, yes. But lets' assume that both were in their primes. Would you say that Ingo does any better than say Lastarza or Cockell?

I dont see the fight lasting that long imo. Hell I be almost tempted to put money that one or the other wont see the 9th round.
I favor Marciano of couse, but Ingo does have a punchers chance. Who would have though Machen would have gone down and out in 1 round?

Marciano trained for this fight ,but couldn't get in to top shape, prime for prime Rocky inside 6 rds .

I think he would do worse than those guys because he would be there to hit and would get drawn into a brawl early.

Having said that he might drop Marciano or even put him in a spot of bother.

There would be some tough moments early as Ingos Bingo would probably land and maybe even drop Marciano. But Marcianos huge edge in durability is the difference here and he stops him in about 6 rounds.

Seconded. I think the best case scenario for Johansson would be to catch Rocky early with a big right hand... perhaps knock him down, but i don't see him stopping Marciano. When Marciano comes back, he comes back stronger and Ingo probably doesn't see the 5th round.

Rocky inside 6. Ingo had a shaky chin, average feet, a limited jab, and average defense. He's made to order for Rocky.

Have you ever watched Johansson? His footwork was anything but plodding. He was very light and quick on his feet, moving in and out and constantly trying to line up the right. Not that I'd pick him over a prime Rocky. But let's at least get our stories straight here.

Johansson could hit but was medíocre, technically speaking...
    No skills. Marciano KO
