 None were saying that. We were waiting for something that NAMED the substance found. This is the first one w/ specifics.

If it was up to me he would be. Not just for the fact that he was caught but also because he continues to lie about it with no remorse. He knew he had loaded gloves and he was reaping the benefits from it. I'm sure he loaded up for Paul Williams and Cotto also.

    Am i missing something here?

How do you know Margarito himself knew anything about it?

The keyword is" caught". Nobody caught it in the Cotto fight. But any reasonable or objective person should know Maegarito had done this before and I'm certain he did it it in the Cotto fight and the Paul Williams fight whether he was caught or not. I see you're still defending him though. Incredible.

I was waiting for the official results of the content of the wraps before saying anything against Margarito. He should be punished severely for this.

But the first article claims the report dates back to March 19th, then that means the California State Athletic Commission already had it and thats why they claimed that their decision on the state would stay last week.

This only means that most likely a 1 year ban is all Margarito will get.

The majority of input on this thread is garbage, and the posters have embarrassed themselves. Condemning Freddy-Wak for staying neutral until the evidence is presented and conclusive? Get a life.

As for Margarito, based on that article, he should be banned for life. I could believe he was unaware of moisture or some inadequacies with gauze, but plaster of Paris? That is a bit hard to swallow.

Guys, this report is coming from the DoJ. I am reserving judgment until we receive confirmation from a more official source.

I don't think anyone is condeming Freddy, but he wasn't neutral, he supported Margo, which is cool, I would have to until the info came out if I liked the guy alot, but he did kinda go overbaord on it IMO.

Oh, and here is what you said about the wraps:
"The image itself speaks volumes on the extent of how out of hand the rumors got. Plasters of Paris? Cement? Bricks? Laughable. "

Here's the link and a direct quote in that article by Mosely's attorney Judd Burstein, who said "Margarito had wet pads in the wrapping. Mosley's doctor, Robert Olvera, likened the material to the type of plaster used to make casts."

This is what I could'nt figure out from the beggnining....if it was a plaster in powder form, why had'nt they hardened by the time of the hearing if they were moist????

This is why I say that Margarito and his team of experts will likely examine those wraps themselves........then the State experts who examined the pads and deemed them to contain sulfate and calcium, need to explain why is it that they had'nt hardened rocklike!

I wonder if you realize how stupid you look defending this clown? Margarito's side can say whatever they want but they are finished and this evidence seals it whether you want to accept it or not. Only thing his legal team can argue about is the level of punishment. Margarito is guilty. Get the hell over it.

I'm pretty sure the evidence was conclusive when the CSAC banned his ass for a year and Capitello admitted his "mistake"
