its not about the amount of times you go down, its about if you can get up again and stay up long enough to do some damage. manny was banged up hard in both fights.

Right, there has been a lot of talk about this on the board but why is everyone so adverse to Ricky Hatton being earmarked as P4P if he beat Pacman?

He's only ever lost one fight and that was to the former P4P champ. If he stops Pacquiao why shouldn't he earn the right to be P4P best?

Im not yet saying he should be but ill reserve the right to after your comments.

It's manny and if he gets beat by Hatton it's still Manny IMO. He's gone through a lot of weights and looked very impressive in each weight. Its not a transferable title like the alphabet ones. It's gained over a long period of time and not just through one fight. If Hatton wins he has to then beat Marquez. He can't get to 135lbs so it'll have to be at 140lbs where once again he's the bigger guy. So then he has to beat at least Cotto/Mayweather and maybe another top 5 Welter, and Manny has to have been beat again during this little spell of Hatton's before he can even begin to be thought of as P4P No.1. Anyway he's not going to beat Manny/Marquez and definately not Floyd/Cotto so it's pointless listening to his propaganda!
