Bit of news and a request: News: Bute's in Romania. He was invited by the Minister for Sports for a meeting and she said she will try and help organise a fight for Bute in Romania, this summer, together with Bute's mentor and friend, Romanian Boxing Federation President, Obreja. They say it's pretty much the last chance they'll get to see Bute fight there, with Bute likely to be involved in some big fights soon...Of course, the big problem is getting the money together. Then, there's the other, even bigger problem: convincing Showtime to agree to this fight... ...Personally, I don't think there's much of a chance of this happening. I don't think Showtime'll be interested even if the money is there... And, my polite request to Bute fans: It's come to my attention that Bute's becoming better known and more rated these days, not just on ESB, but also in the American Boxing Press and TV...and this is good... ...but...Bute's started to get a bit of hate lately, because of this new found fame and recognition...and this is bad... ...my polite request to you: let's not go overboard with defending Bute against these haters, because it just drags us down to their level and we end up looking like fanboys too...this doesn't reflect well on us or on Bute....instead, let's continue using this thread to talk about him and his career, and let others, neutrals who know their stuff, defend him on ESB against the haters. OK I will, from now on ,try to ignore ****ito and company. But in boxing in general, especially on ESB every good and known fighter is gonna be bashed on once in a while. Mayweather, Waldo, even Ali sometimes get a bit of hate from some low life keyboard warriors. I guess that's the way it is in boxing.
Yeah, but I'd rather ESB didn't turn into a Bute hate-fest, like it did against countless fighters: Calzaghe, Pavlik, Taylor, Waldo, etc, etc, etc,... ...the only way to avoid that is if we don't become defensive of Bute, when the hateful trolls attack...just ignore them or less neutrals put them in their place...:good

I doubt we'll know who's Bute opponent will be until may. Unless Taylor has told them he has no intention of fighting Bute if he wins.
I just don't think Interbox will choose Bute's next opponent until after the Froch-Taylor fight. Unless Taylor already told them he won't fight Bute. Then Interbox can concentrate on making a fight with Miranda, Bika, etc...
I'm not sure why you think there's a good chance of Taylor fighting Bute after Froch...Di Bella talked about him fighting Green next, ...and then the plan is for him to fight Jones, if Jones beats Lacy! Keep up, Maxime! As for Bute, he NEEDS to fight Andrade, if Andrade beats Tsypko, and chances are he will...BEFORE fighting Taylor, Kessler, etc... So...it's pretty simple...Bute will fight a voluntary defence either in Quebec, Romania or USA in summer, before taking on Andrade in autumn. The earliest he could fight Taylor/Froch/Kessler is next year.:good (Froch needs to fight a secondary mandatory defence if he beats Taylor before he can call himself a full champ (before being allowed to unify).:good
When does Bute return from Romania? His return will start again the rumours about his next opponent. Even if Taylor of Froch win by KO in the first round, it doesn't leave a lot of time for the negociations to take place and the training (at least 8 weeks) to start for June 19th... So it's Bika or Miranda...
Yeah, 2nd of April, I think. He is attending the Andrade v. Tsypko gala. Bika or Miranda, but I think Miranda is for Froch and Bika is for Bute.
We can pick names all we want. We don't know what kind of money they are asking for and what Interbox is willing to pay. Not to mention who Showtime is willing to accept as an opponent for Bute.
