After re-reading the post and my reply,I can see why you think that but that certainly wasn't my intention and I'm sorry if it came across that way.I genuinely agree with everything you said:good

Froch deserves A LOT of credit if he wins this one. If he loses and performs well, he should go up in people's esteem too.

Massive achievement if Froch wins with his skill level.

If Froch ends up a winner against Taylor, and if he does that in a clear fashion, he will have achieve half the distance to recognition. The other half will be to get rid of his second mandatory. Then he will be able to call himself a SMW Champion of the World. In the meantime, he has quite an order in front of him. Even if I usually don't like the loud mouths, I give him credit for travelling to the US to face Taylor and to challenge every other belt holders. I have to admit that we don't see that very often now. But I still think he's a B- boxer that can bang, as far as skills, movements and defense, he's far from the best.

Belts and titles don't matter. What matters is how you perform, how your opponent performs and who wins. He will achieve recognition if he beats Taylor, as a world class fighter. There is no need for the other half. It doesn't matter what his "skills" are like if he wins or gives Taylor a very hard fight (see Andrade).:good

My post was in regards of Froch calling himself a boxing Superstar, witch he's not yet.....

Froch better improve his speed of footwork because as I see it this is his biggest weakness the highest level. Just ask Andrade after the Kessler fight he said he got killed by Mikkels in and out speed and never get his punches off.

    Sure.
I'm pleased that Froch finally has his chance at the bigtime. His career has been stop start and hasn't got going despite him being 31.Up until now, nodoby has needed to fight him-the risk reward factor

He finally decided to step it up. He could have fought Bute in the IBF eliminator but chose not to...well...time's running out for him, so he needs to go for broke here.

Facts-Froch is going to fight in America against a top Yank.

No way in a million years was taylor ever prepared to fight in the UK.

Taylor fought Lacy in an eliminator when he was already mandatory challenger

Froch has less miles on the clock(fresher)

Froch is a career SuperMiddle. Taylor isn't.

Taylor struggled with light punching blown up welters Cory Spinks and Kassim Ouma

Good points I think Froch hits atleast as hard as Pavlik if not harder. He also has an iron chin and I can't see Taylor budging him especially if he is tentative like he was vs Spinks and Ouma.
He isn't the best finisher based on what we saw in the 2nd round of the first Pavlik fight.Thats irrelevant I can't see him having Froch going like that.Froch should land that right hand without any real problems

No he wasn't, but he looked poor and tentative against much smaller men who were light punchers at 147 and 154 when he should have really just walked through them.
