Was just watching Morales Barrera 1 and 3 and looking how BArrera threw that hook come uppercut with the left, a thing of beauty. Who in your opinion had the best/cultured left of the past 25 years? Your top5 please? 1. Barrera 2.Trinidad 3.tyson(straight left) 4.De La Hoya 5. Tua honourable mention: Hamed (stright left) Winky (jab) Jones (lead left /triple hook)
Calzaghes left hand was dangerous in his prime before the hand troubles. Taylor has a great left jab too
Trinidad was the 1st man to stop Mayorga i think right? look @ the left hook to the body he throws at about 3 minutes into the video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gZvlL1pIzqQ&feature=related
His lefhand was never good against top fighters. he slapped. Im talking about cultured left hand thrown with technique, not a fencing punch
Whitaker got fantastic leverage with his left. Imagine if he'd been gifted with natural power also...
Mate Winky Wright was a southpawhis left was a power punch, not a lead jab. But yeah it deserves a mention. He also has one of the best southpaw right hooks ive ever seen, not a common weapon
Larry Holmes!!! The Holmes hammer ruled!!!! At least until Michael Spinks dethroned him and Mike Tyson splattered him!
