Losing the handwraps (assuming he knew which is probable) would certainly be a deflator, but the way Mosely fought I'm not sure Margo would have had a chance if he was absolutely on top of his game. Really Mosely took everything good that Cotto did, then added the elements that he didn't do.

Think about it. Margo was on top of his game and Cotto hit him with everything but the kitchen sink. His defense wasn't going to get any better than it was on that night, so he would have been hit a ton anyway. Add in the extra defensive measures and the holding inside, and Margarito had no chance at all. It's just that almost no one thought Mosley could pull that off.

 

lol. Just winding you guys up, I dont care too much for it to be honest but I find it confounding that there are actually people like yourselves who truly believe he only decided to load up his gloves just the once after the biggest win of his career.

 

I'm not saying I truly believe that to be the case, but to state that he did do it in the Cotto fight as a fact is bull****.

 

If it isnt a fact that he did, it also isnt a fact that he didnt...its a ? and thus should be rule a NC.

He was probably pretty consistently thinking about how badly his ass was getting kicked. I would assume that was where his head was at. What would Margarito have done differently had the hand-wraps not been discovered? He hardly landed a punch in the first place, you still have to land for loaded gloves to have an effect. Mosley still would have won.

 

I said from the start that Mosley was a style nightmare for Margo, even with the plaster in his gloves...Wrong guy for Margo.

I hope that he isnt saying that it would have somehow been fair for Margo to be allowed to use plaster on his handsatsch

 

I know that the Cotto fans would love nothing more then to have that happen...truth of the thing is Margo I think feared a fight with Shane...I think that he knew that he was in deep...Just think about it..He rejected a shot at fighting the then P4P king of boxing to take a fight with Santos...He talked **** about Shane, saying stuff like Shane was scared and pissed his pants at the thought of fighting me...Not something that Margo did alot of, **** talking...Then when the fight got close to being made Margo went MIA..Turned up rejected the fight claiming that it wasnt enough money, only to accept a deal that added another 200k to the total purse..And after taking a beatting in the media...

Point Im getting at is I think that Margo knew there was a good chance that he would lose to Shane which is why he pushed so hard to make Arum agree to a rematch with Cotto win or lose..This may have caused Margo to look for an advantage, the ole plaster in the gloves trick...

 

Yep with the shots Mosley was hitting him near the end of the fight i started to look for Margos head in the crowd......
