Something has to be done to save this division. Right now the most boring division in boxing. Measures have been taken to protect fighters at other divisions and to make sure they are in shape to fight. The pre-weights one month and one week before the fight gives the boxing organizations a chance to see if boxers are training the way they are supposed to.

May be they should set a maximum body fat percentage to be allowed to fight in the heavyweight division. That way we might me able to stop lazy fat ass boxers from destroying the division. There is a reason why USA is not at the top of the heavyweights anymore. Being fat don't make you a real heavyweight contender.

I am tired of watching fights were the boxers look like two big Manatees!!!!!!!!:fire:fire:fire:fire:fire

Heavyweight division? the entiresport needs re-invented, its not mano-e-mano anymore, its all politics and soft match-making.

When boxing starts giving me even fights intead of prospect vs bum weekly and champ vs champ every 5 years then ill start focusing on individual divisions.

The thing I do not understand is how mayweather jr dominated teh middleweight division and no one complained...there was no talent there because he was literally making everyone look bad...you have teh same thing with the Klitschko's yet all they get is how the division sucks and blah blah blah...well you know what mayweather's division wasn't good either.

Look man, I like the Klits, and I happen to think that the talent is there with guys like Povetkin, Dimentrenko, Haye, and Chag.

But the fact is people think the division is **** because:

    A) The big fights are simply not being made, and it seems liek they never will.

    B) the same recycled guys- Valuev, Ruiz, MAskaev, Rahmen, Holyfield (!), Toney, Peter, etc- guys who never impressed anyone in the first place, keep getting shot after shot.

ITs time for the fans to demand a housecleaning and unification by withholding dollars.

No head scratching! We all might as well admit right here and now, we miss the days when Lennox Lewis was champion, and really, only Lewis could fix the problems in the HW division. At his worst, he still managed to stop Vitali Klitschko on a TKO. I wish he would come back, at least to defeat one of the Klitschko's. We'll never have an undisputed champ as long as they are around.

I agree that it seems the heavyweights have no desire to came in to fights in great shape. Tonight is a perfect example of that Peter 265??? that is much higher then his second high weight in his career, Chambers looked like a tubby 40 year old dude taken his kids to the beach. The Klit brothers or the european heavyweights are the only ones that seem to put in any effort in training and come to fight in good shape...I dont care what anyone says if you come to the ring with back fat your not in shape. Its sad, I dont recall this as much 10 years ago...Unless the guy was in the late stages of his career...I dont recall Foreman looking as bad as some of the young fighters look to day.
