Yes man in today's Heavyweight Division Tony Tucker is the Undisputed King of The Ring.

    He was in shape.

    He always came to fight.

    He could go the distance.

    He had pop.

He was also kinda fast for a Heavyweight.

He also could take a punch.

    So why not?

These dudes are not dedicated in that division they are sloppy...nobodies fighting nobodies only to be dismantled by the Ukranian Kids.

Having watched Eddie Chambers/Sam Peter again (yeah I'm a masochist), I don't think I'd complain.

I think at this point, Wlad and Vitali should stay in Germany. Wlad and Vitali are much more better appreciated (and their events are much more pronounced) in Germany. In Germany a Wlad/Vitali fight is a big deal. In America it's just another fight. The paegentry is better there.

Should you do what Vince McMahon does? Constantly compromise the integrity of the product just for more viewers.

The only market that seems to be whining about the sport is the American one.

The Heavyweight division is thriving in Europe.

People just need to recognize that Tyson was a freak occurance, it's not going to happen again any time soon. It is and never will be the measuring stick for the heavyweight division to any real boxing fan.

I am not saying Valuev and Toney are in the same as talent. But Toney is not and has never been a Heavy weight contender. He is a great fighter one of the best in his prime and weight class. What I am saying he does not deserve to be given so many chances to fight for titles or the air time. That is the problem he is not going to beat any real good heavy weights. So why feed us this **** on HBO, SHOWTIME, AND ESPN . tHIS IS WHY POEPLE GIVE UP WATCHING .

I don't know if I like Tucker's chances against either Klitschko, but you make a sound point.

No doubt Tucker would have been a top 5 fighter for the past 5 years had he been introduced to this era in his prime.

One thing I think that does get overlooked is the fact that in the mid 90's, the division was about as rich in talent as it ever was, barring perhaps just the Golden Era.

Except some of us don't give a **** if a HW is one of "our guys". David Haye is british (unless his accent is all a ruse) and I'm a massive fan of him. Likewise n Vitali.

Not everything is location, location, location with some of us. See what happens with you paint with a big brush?

I agree...and they probably will stage the majority of their fights in Germany for that reason. i really wish the US sports media would make even a little noise about boxing. It almost seems that the promotion of the sport in the US relies heavily on us boxing die-hards recruiting fans.

Yes! That could be considered one of the best Era's in boxing period...people stayed paying money for PPV fights.

    Stacked undercards to!

Boxing and integrity don't exactly go hand in hand pal.

Actually that's not true but whatever.

Stupendous. Now if only their fights were EXCITING...then we'd have something.

Nobody wants a Tyson. We just want exciting fights.

Give me Vitali-Lewis or Wlad-Peter or Peter-Toney 1. Exciting fights with drama, ebb and flow and blood n guts performances on both ends.

When's the last time the HW division had one of those?

He meant your favorite fighter with that comment, not nationality.

The sport should make noise for itself. Big fights make noise. You can't expect fans to flock to boxing just because it's boxing.

Look at this way---Kelly Pavlik-Bernard Hopkins had tons of money poured into hype and all that ****. Joe Calzaghe/RJJ had all sorts of hype and pub on it. Both of those got a combined 450K buys.

Margo and Cotto had none of that. Remember HBO had to have their nuts twisted into even doing a countdown show for it. Cotto and Margo had 500K buys.

See? Fights can sell themselves...just give us a reason to buy.

Absolutely not. I find that extremely hard to believe.

Sides wouldn't I be happy like a pig in **** with Vitali Klitschko?

    Ohhhh close.

I would almost give that to you...except it was what? 3 rounds of wailing between two talentless fighters? Arreola has a certain Bum Fighters-esque vibe to him really if ya think about it.

I guess I could give ya that one actually although Haye/Barrett was 1000x more entertaining and a hell of a lot more clownish. See? I helped ya out.
