Margarito should be banned for life!!!!!

Except for the pure Margarito haters, and pure Cotto fans, anyone else with an ounce of objectivity realizes that it would be much easier for this to have taken place in Cali than in Vegas. Two different Commissions with two entirely different sets of inspection standards.

We have no proof that he did this to Cotto. None. Pure specualtion that has a better chance of being false than it is of being true. He may have done this before, but I doubt he did it for Cotto.

Cotto has been hurt by damn near every top WW he has been in the ring with.

 

Lets say margo did use plaster against mosley but richardson didnt notice the plaster in margarito's handwraps (because richardson was the only one to notice anything). The fight went ahead, margarito won, and in his next fight his opponent's trainer noticed something untoward with margo's handwraps. Are u saying the commission would have looked at the mosley fight in retrospect and charged him with cheating? Im pretty sure they wouldnt, and you'd be in almost the exact same situation u are now, but saying "he didnt cheat in the mosley fight because the comission cleared him of cheating". Does that make him innocent? Nope.

They cleared him for the cotto fight because they had no cold hard evidence to prove he cheated. And just like even the mafia killers on trial..each case has to be treated individually and its proof beyond reasonable doubt and all that jazz. That doesnt mean he didnt cheat against cotto. I personally dont know if he did..i think what he has done puts all his previous fights into a new light, but at the same time cotto had a bad gameplan for the margo fight and seemed to allow himself to take alot of punches to the face. (As a cotto fan it would be nice for his 1 defeat to be wiped off, but its not gonna happen so i wont get too hung about on it.)

Not to mention if margo cheated for the mosley fight then he should have known he was putting all his previous wins on the line. That if he had been found out (which it seems he has been) then he bring all his other victories into disrepute. Do i KNOW he cheated in previous fights? Of course not. Am i suspicious of some of his victories now? Hell yeah.

Basically my post can be summed up as this: just because he was cleared doesnt mean he was innocent. It means there isnt enough evidence to charge him with anything.

 

Not wantin' to get into it with you my man, but please tell me....

WTF is Nevada Commish supposed to say? "Well we don't know, or yeah, he might have but we just didn't check that close, or even ... Yes, it's likely, we just have terrible inspectors here"??

Come on now Bazooka...

 

Now where are the people who used to defend him that ****ing cheating *******????

Look, you can't really say that he used them during the Cotto fight because legitimately there is no proof. However, I find the claim that this was his first time doing it and he just happened to get caught as hard to believe as the claim that Tony didnt know what was going on with his hand wraps. Unfortunately, unless Margarito or his trainer come out and say so, no one will ever know. I am a huge Cotto fan, that being said, let the whole "He used them in his fightt with Cotto" rants go. And it wasnt only Margaritos work rate and punch resistance that beat Cotto, so lets stop that **** too. Clearly the punches had a huge effect, look at Cottos face afterwards. The point he was trying to make was that IF Margarito had not used plaster in his fist the punches wouldnt have affected Cotto the way they did and he wouldnt have been tired and bleeding from the toll of the bludgeoning shots and therefore continued the boxing lesson initiated in the first 6 rounds.
