Mosley fought a great fight, no doubt.

I noticed though that Margarito did look like he was carrying around something inside of him mentally.

But, a lot of fighters come into fights with issues. This is why boxing is so different from other sports. if you have a bad day, you can't rely on your teammates for support.

He has no excuse for letting himself down and more importantly his fans.

SSM was the one who had all the excuses in the world for his head to be elsewhere.

IMHO, Margo's head was definitely there - I could see the wheels turning when he was deciding on whether to go out for that last round; seemed to me like he was figuring the odds on keeping his warrior reputation intact.

That said, not much of Margo's body showed up. He looked like crap, but it wouldn't have mattered if he was in perfect form or not. Mosely was on fire and would have sparked any version of Margo that showed up.

Since the commissioner had already signed off the one hand and the pads were found in both, I find it quite possible that in the Cotto fight it could have been completely missed. If Margos team almost got away with it once since it was Richardson who had to raise the issue, it could have happened before...

Oh I would bet my wifes car that he has done it before...But its hard to say that he did it in the Cotto fight, or to pick any fight for that matter and say that he did it..The one that really comes to mind for me is the Lujan fight, that looked like nothing that I have ever seen in boxing in my 30 years of being in and around the sport...

No since there is no concrete proof of Margarito cheating in the Cotto fight you cant change the results.

And this is coming from a Margarito hater.

its not a fact, but anyone else can say and claim so cause his name was already tarnish:lol:

and the cotto fight was his biggest fight and the last fight before the wraps incident

Didn't Margo's brother die before the cotto fight?

It's probably no different then when the situation with Buster Douglas' mom fueled him to beat Tyson.

With no emotional drive (and no plaster either), Margo probably lost his edge. Remember Arum lost contact with Margarito after the win, at one point telling the media that "He had no idea what Margarito was doing."

I think it was a culmination of a turning back the clock performance, severe emotional instability on Margo's behalf and a perfect Richardson gameplan.

Hand wraps had nothing to do with Margarito's wins. I was going to bet on Mosely because I was hearing that Margarito did not train very much, this was known by many. I had spent two days in the Mojave Desert, did not get back in time to place my be on Mosely. I was staying at the "Red Rock Resort/Casino". Mayweather was there, says he like Red Rock. Whatever, Margarito would have lost with or without hand wraps. Since the "Encore" opened, Red Rock has some great packages for those who are interested. It is a very nice place to stay, but on the other end of the strip. I moved to the "Luxor" which I love. Stayed in a suite. I would suggest either place. I love it, and I plan to go back there soon.

well for sure if he knew he cheated then it must have distracted him like hell.

If he really thought he did nothing wrong then it wouldn't really affect him
