Abraham vs Forrest off it's gonna be Lorenzo

I think it's important to remember that Pavlik/Abraham was pretty much set for January 23rd, 2009 on HBO, but KP lost to BHop. Arum was right not to put KP in with Arthur immediately after a loss.

Nobody is ducking, and there is no serious conflict between promoters. That's all bull****, and some of that is just promo stuff.

The problems with making this match up have come from 3 sources: Calzaghe talked a non-stop stream of bull**** about fighting Pavlik. The Lockett fight was part of Kelly trying to set that up.

Next up, Arthur had a mandatory with Marquez. Arum used to promote Marquez, and they are still freinds. Arum was not willing to even talk about step-aside money for Marquez.

Kelly lost to Hopkins, and that killed the January 2009 fight date.

In addition, considering Arthur's performance against LuJaun Simon, if I were Sauerland, I absolutely would not put AA in with KP right now. The best thing for Arthur right now is to keep his weight down between now and Lorenzo. After that keep it under 170 between the Lorenzo fight and his Pavlik training camp. This weight thing is VERY important. If he performs against Pavlik the way he did against Simon, it's 5 round fight and Arthur leaves on a stretcher! As of right now AA has plenty of time to address the situation and revamp his diet and training. No excuses come fight time.

 

Did you see the fight? A very controversial decision. I had Ngoudjo winning that one.

 

They hyped up Abraham on FNF last night, and that's a good thing. I hope they keep it up.

1. Who gives a **** whether figher A has called out fighter B on a couple of occasions( Siram Sensisaid has called out Vitaly Klitschko on a couple of occacions in his local newspaper in Ninsiswook/Greenland)
2. Ducking,avoiding,eh! AA has ducked Lorenzo,eh! You must be kidding!
3.There are a lot of legitimate middle weights out there.Someone like Pirog would be a real threat to AA.Far more dangerous that the American based Lorenzo
4.Forrest has a far better name and reputation. AA needs American tv exposure and a meaninful fight on American soil.
Neither Forrest nor Lorenzo is a really important fight for him.He wants to share the ring with Pavlik.Thats why he hasnt moved up to super middle .
5.Who cares! A fight with Forrest aims at enhancing AA's markebility on American soil.
6.Lorenzo beat Mora.So what? Do you really think that this will stop any AA hater to try to belittle AA's achievements.
