Who went on to school Pavlik (who was bad on the night)
That same Pavlik who was supposed to be yet another "next big thing" that would demolish Calzaghe......

Not to go too far off topic.....Nazim does have it spot on.....the guy is a legend! He see's POP like no other man!

Nazim is definetly telling the truth. Samething I said in one of my threads because I touched on some of the things he said. It seems to me that all the Calzaghe fans make excuses for how Joe looked in the ring that day against Hopkins but fail to realize the name of the game is to hit and not be hit. Hopkins fought a tactitian fight like he always does by taking Joe's flurries away and counterpunching him by punching inbetween his punches, and roughing him up on the inside to break Joe's rhythem. So it would of been stupid for B-Hop to fight Joe's fight and try throw as many punches as him when he could get the job done(as he did) by fighting his fight. Calzaghe knows he got a gift that day regardless of what he says because if he trully felt he beat Hopkins, he'd fight him again in a heartbeat,(especially if the fight is suppose to take place in his country) considering the fact B-Hop is a legend and he would get tons of more credit for beating him convincingly.

i had it 114-113 to Joe. Wasnt suprised as Hopkins for previous 4-5 years was stealing fights...if he fought like the Executioner pre 37yrs of age he would have beat up on Joe.

    but thats what age does...

    117 - 111. Calzaghe.

Borenard succeeded in stinking this fight up; Hugged, mugged, spoiled. landed a good straight right in the first but clearly lost. I'm with Lederman -- really not too hard to score the fight.

    Hopkins Pavlik was amazing....

I still think Bernard would have Kod Pavlik if he was the pre 37 year old Hopkins..

we saw the old executioner in rnds 11 and 12...he really went after Kelley

Care to elaborate? Only person I've disrespected on here was Briggs and he's gone on record as racist.
