Of course not. Vitaly would win by KO5 or something like that.

Wlad would most liely win PTS12.

Haye vs Baer may be interesting and could go to either side.

    Max would beat the rest.

Max Baer, when he wanted to, was all but impossible to stop. When his right hand landed, 200+ pound men dropped like stones. He knocked down Carnera 11 times, so he was incredibly strong and durable, because his power was still the same in round 11 as it was in round one. He was tough as nails, and when he was in a mood, he could be as dirty as the rest of them. I think 8 out of 10 HW's today would lose to Baer rather easily, the only two to give him issues would be Vitali and Wladimir, only because they too are so strong and durable and know how to handle themselves. I think, though, Baer's rough and tumble style would be devestating for Wladimir, because it would play out like the Sanders fight, because a motivated Max Baer didnt play around, he came right at you and tried to tear your head off from the get go. Vitali, though, has the chin to withstand it, and to me Vitali-Max would been one hell of a fight to see.

He was like Tyson in Wlads body. A total beast when he wanted to be.

The determined version of Baer that showed up against Schmeling and Carnera would probably beat the ass out of the majority of the top 10 heavyweights today. Maybe not Vitali who has the durability and skill and size to win, though he is old and may lack heart so that's not a given. I think Baer would KO Wlad. Even the best Baer had a whole lot of problems but, Christ, this is an era where Sam ****ing Peter had a piece of the title. Max would be a title holder, if not the undisputed champ.

Maybe the number one hardest hitting heavyweight of all time. Easily up there with Shavers, Foreman, Tua and so on.

I don't think he has the skills to be a threat to the Klitschkos. He could be in the top five today. I always thought Max Baer was bigger than 6'3". I guess the myths and legends, and all the talk made him taller in my mind.

But, who really knows how he would be today. That is what makes talking about boxing so much fun, isn't it.

His son is just as big as he was too...Max baer Jr. Why didn't "Jethro" follow in his Dad's footsteps?

You really think so? Max Baer would be a big notch on anyone's belt. Make you famous and a lot of money beating him.

But, I can't recall Wlad ducking anyone. I don't think Emanual Steward would allow it.

After all that ducking by Lennox, Steward doesn't want to go through all of that again...and Steward wants to make all that money now with Wlad, to make up for the big payday he would have had if Lennox had fought Vitali in that big anticipated rematch. No more ducking for Steward.

    No

Baer was never a terrific fighter technically. His jab was powerful but cumbersome and slow, regardless of his mood. The better boxers of today would beat him.
