Compare his last performance to his fights to Margarito. Yea he had some issues of complaining in those ones but he was a game fighter. Against Martinez he was unwilling to open up and looked like he just wanted each round to end as quick as possible. Did Margarito do this to him?
There is a great possibility he used it in other fights. He was gonna use it in the Mosley fight, until, Nazim caught him. If it wasn't for Nazim, he would of still used them and nobody would of known nothing.
i think margarito ruined him mentally. the way he was smiling after eating cintrons punches flush must have been disheartening.
Starting to appear as such!!! Cintron is launching his own investigation into this matter via his attorney.
Uh. Let me put it like this. Margarito - Plaster of Paris, can he take Cintron out? I find that doubtful, in which case he wouldn't be acting like he is today.
loaded wraps or not, i am pretty sure margo would have ruined cintron along the same general lines. cintron was a terrific bully until somebody wasn't afraid of him. his confidence shattered the moment he wasn't in control of a fear advantage. anymore, the desparity in talent and power needs to be even more pronounced for cintron to be able to pull the pieces of himself together. that said, based on the news that margarito really did try to cook bricks into his gloves...i am starting to question whether or not his gloves might have been loaded in several of his other fights...i'm looking, trying not to jump the gun, so to speak and look at it logically as i can, at the matches after his loss to paul williams. margo, an iron chinned guy born of a warrior culture, was the last guy in the pugilistic universe i would have thought could square himself with the dishonor of cheating so massively and endangering other fighters for illegitimate personal gain. rotten stuff.
after the proof of plaster, every fighter who faced margo should lace up on plaster and take a free shot at that "unbreakable chin"
I don't really agree, Cintron was game and throwing in his fights with Margarito, I don't think just the fact that he was not afraid was what deterred him, it was the fact that those punches hurt, also that his defense was really non-existent (Cintrons) Things are not always as they appear. Margarito was a sparring partner for De La Hoya, saw what he had. Boxing is a corrupt and unforgiving sport, it is what you make of it, and you have more ability to get away with cheating. I hope people don't for a second think that between Margo and Resto in recent times we have caught all the guys, there are undoubtedly cases that have gone on undetected. People always said Margarito didn't look like he threw with a lot of power, but you felt his punches thudding. He broke a sparring partners orbital bone when sparring for Mosley. They ran away with the whole 'protecting the knuckles' bs, by making him a cast, even in sparring.
Cintron ruined himself when he got rid of Emanuel Steward. He blamed Stewart for his losses to Margo, when that wasn't the case. He doomed his future for good, when he dismissed Steward.
