You do pick everyone against Vic. And I didn't mean to personalise my response to you but if you lead with words like "asslicker" what do you expect? Of course I'm a big Vic Darchinyan fan. That's why I'm here posting on a Vic Darchinyan thread & have a photo of him in my avatar. Duh!
Fatboy likes this fight too: Rick (Paterson): Raging Bull vs. King Kong, can't wait, who do you got?? This content is protected Dan Rafael: Sick fight. Can't wait. I literally had a dream about it last night. It was weird. It was like a 35-round fight that Vic won and it happened outside.
Apparently Vic's and his team are very tight knit. In his interviews he always refers to his fitness trainer and his manager Elias Nasser as his best friends. The two of them are real bigs boys and i read the three of the are always together. Vic's manager Elias calls all the shots in who Vic fights and the like. He took over after Vic's loss to Donaire. Its all about momentum, and I agree with everyone , Vic Darchiyan is the biggest badass on the planet. Watch out Agbeko when you eat the first taste of Vic's leather you will know your in your worst ever nightmare !!! Go THE RAGING BULL !!!!
Montiel won the interim BW WBO title, which could become the 'regular' title if Penalosa vacates. So I think there's an excellent chance that the King Kong-Raging Bull winner will get Montiel in a BW unification, which would be a superb fight.
Article from AAP: Vic Darchinyan declared his desire to unify the boxing bantamweight division after returning from an overseas trip where he rubbed shoulders with statesmen, entertainers and Australia's other great eastern European-born boxer Kostya Tszyu. Undisputed super flyweight world champion Darchinyan, who will move up to challenge IBF bantamweight title holder Joseph Agbeko in Florida on July 7, returned from eastern Europe on Friday. The Armenian-born boxer met the President of that country and also spent time in Russia. In Moscow, he attended a concert featuring Armenian entertainers and was introduced to the crowd by former undisputed junior welterweight world champion Tszyu, who was born in Russia, but relocated to Australia. His world title-winning feats have attracted corporate support overseas, with Darchinyan estimating almost 95 per cent of his earnings in that area coming from offshore. After conquering the flyweight and super flyweight divisions, the 33-year-old Sydneysider is determined to do likewise at the bantamweight. "I want to unify the bantamweight division," Darchinyan said. "I want to stay at bantamweight for six to nine months and unify the title." Darchinyan said if he beat Agbeko, but couldn't attract the other champion into a unification bout in that time frame he would move up to super bantamweight. He had no fears moving up in the weights would diminish the famed punching power which has brought 26 knockouts in 32 wins. "I will be even stronger at bantamweight," Darchinyan said. "I know when I have been sparring at bantamweight I punch much more stronger than a super flyweight." New York-based Ghanaian Agbeko also has a formidable KO percentage, registering 22 in his 26 wins. "I don't know much about him, but he's a good fighter and a good puncher and he's beaten a few good fighters," Darchinyan said. "He beat Luis Alberto Peres and he lost to Wladimir Sidorenko, who I know and used to spar with. I will be ready for him." Darchinyan will start sparring Australian boxers eight weeks before the fight before heading to a Los Vegas training camp in early June. It will be his second fight in Florida and his first since winning the first of his world titles against Irene Pacheco in December 2004.
I've got the Gonzalez fight and am slowly but surely uploading it to youtube. Check it out, what a war.
The fight is just a month away, so I've added a poll. Also, here's an article from main page: Vic Darchinyan Arrives in States to Prepare for July 11 ShoChamp battle against Agbeko NEW YORK (June 12, 2009) – Vic “Raging Bull” Darchinyan arrived in the U.S. late last week to finish training as he looks to become a world champion in a third weight class when he challenges International Boxing Federation (IBF) bantamweight champion Joseph “King Kong” Agbeko on Saturday, July 11, live on SHOWTIME® (9 p.m. ET/PT, delayed on the west coast). Darchinyan has already solidified his status as the No. 1 super flyweight in the world and one of the top pound-for-pound boxers. Now, with less than one month to go before his highly anticipated showdown with Agbeko, Darchinyan is back in the U.S., where he has been dominant in his last three world title fights.. "Hurricane Vic is building up steam and should be at full strength by the time it makes landfall in Florida on July 11," said Gary Shaw, Darchinyan's promoter. "King Kong Agbeko will be sunk into a tropical depression of immense proportions when Vic finishes with him." The hard-hitting, Australian, by way of Armenia, arrived in Las Vegas on Thursday, June 4, for a full month of intense training leading up to the fight at Johnny Tocco’s Boxing Gym. “I’m just starting to get used to this weather,” Darchinyan said. “It’s too hot here. I came from cold weather in Sydney to the hot humidity here. There’s a big difference. I can tell sweating in the gym. But, it’s getting better and I’m getting used to it. In one more week, I will be ready for the fight and in perfect condition. The heat here is similar to the heat and humidity in Florida, so this will help.” Darchinyan says his training camp has been going as planned, and fans can expect to see more of the polished boxing skills he displayed in recent fights to go along with his devastating hooks and jabs. “My training has been going great,” Darchinyan said. “I started my first sparring session in Las Vegas today (Wednesday, June 10). I’ve been preparing very hard and, physically, I’m going to be much stronger than I was in my last fight.” Darchiyan is on a strict high-protein diet consisting of large amounts of fish, non-fatty meat and fresh soup that is prepared a particular way. He completed his weightlifting workout while training in Sydney. Now, with just one month to go, he is focusing on cardio and sparring. A typical routine day for Darchinyan consists of running, push-ups, sit-ups and sparring. The Darchinyan camp has rented a house so that their training in Las Vegas is similar to life at home in Sydney. “Everything is going as planned. Everything is perfect. In one more month I will be 110 percent ready for the fight.” Never shy to give his thoughts on the fight and his opponent, Darchinyan, as always, predicts a knockout. “The guy (Agbeko) is talking big,” Darchinyan said. “He’s saying that he’s too big for me and that I’m small. He says he’s going to send me back to my weight division. But when I punch him and I punish him, he is going to see a big difference from what his other opponents have given him. I’m going to be much more powerful than any one he has faced. “I’m going to knock him out. From the first round, I am going to go after him, punish him, punish him and knock him out. I’m going to show the fans a real good knockout and a very good, exciting fight.” Darchinyan (32-1, 26 KOs) solidified his status as the No. 1 super flyweight in the world – and one of the top boxers pound-for-pound – with back-to-back impressive victories over Jorge Arce last Feb. 7 on SHOWTIME and Christian Mijares on Nov. 1, 2008, on SHOWTIME. An Australia-based Armenian, Darchinyan exited his signature victory over Mijares with the IBF, World Boxing Council (WBC) and World Boxing Association (WBA) 115-pound belts. A former IBF flyweight champion, Darchinyan is appearing on SHOWTIME for a ninth time. Agbeko (26-1,22 KOs), of New York by way of Ghana, will be making the second defense of the 118-pound crown he won with a seventh-round TKO over Luis Perez in August 2007. A winner of five in a row, Agbeko is coming off a 12-round decision over William Gonzalez on Dec, 11, 2008.
Darchinyan TKO's Agbeko in a war. At the moment there is no sign of this fight being screened live in the UK so it looks like a stream for me.
Agbeko throws to many wide, looping shots. I expect Vic to fire shots right down the pipe, and catch King Kong big and often.
Expect to see King Kong Agbeko beat Darchinyan down and send him back down to 115.. Vic is ****in with the wrong man here.
