Obviously there is no way to prove it but do you personally feel his wraps were legit in the Cotto fight?

If what other posters say is true, and the NASC does provide fighters with gauze and tape, then I don't think so. Otherwise, I would think Margo cheated in his fight with Cotto.

Without a shadow of a doubt. Why would he only do it against Mosley, a 37 yers old guy that was an underdog, when he had already "defeated" in convincing fashion his younger conqueror? Why, I mean whyyyyy would anybody think he just started doing this now?? I, for one, can't even imagine a scenario where he and his trainer decide that NOW , in the top of his career, and after beating most of his previous opponents convincingly, they should risk it all and begin loading his gloves, specially when he was supposed to win this fight easily!! :yep

Most likely if he thought he could get away with it.

The Nevada State Athletic Comission has come out and stated that they provide the boxers with the wrapping materials in a sealed bag and that they made sure there was nothing illegal going on.

Other things to take in consideration is that the HBO crew was in the locker rooms filming part of the wrappings. Also Margarito was walking around with his wraps showing after the stoppage.

Could plaster have been used in fights outside of Nevada? Very possible

For the fight with Cotto? Very unlikely.

who says that Margarito used the Gauze that NSAC gave him?? he took that one and used hes own. Look its preety simple, your not loading up the gloves for a old Mosley and not for a prime Cotto in a Mexican-Rican rivarly. I'm just happy Cotto took the knee and Mayweather didnr fight him, because he would've double loaded for PBF!!!

yea i hate to say it but some of those punches margo hit cotto with didnt look like they had that much force on them, but after it would connect cotto's brain would be rocked.

as a cotto fan, i dont think he did it before cotto, but i think he did for the cotto fight. this was the night of his life the night where he felt "he made it" and maybe felt he needed to do anything to win that night. he loaded them up and it worked, so he tried it against mosley but got caught. thats my opinion

Look at Cotto's face after the fight. The pictures speak volumes. Yes.

If there were any fight Margarito loaded his gloves in they were the Cintron matches and the Cotto fight IMHO, I can't prove it but judging from the fights themselves it would make sense.

How could he do have substituted the sealed gauze right in front of the Nevada officials, Cotto's trainer, and the HBO crew???

I am not saying that he didn't for sure, but that it was very unlikely.

It doesn't matter, I don't think that Cotto would ever be able to beat that guy --

A guess another question would be, if they are so infallible, is why nobody from the NSAC has stepped up and said, definitively, that Margarito's wraps were fine. I know its not their battle but it seems like they have been awfully quiet on the matter.
