What 160-168-175 Pound fighter can beat a peak RJJ

If you are talking fighters from any era at these weights than I would go with the following:

Marvin Hagler, Thomas Hearns and Carlos Monzon at 160
Chong Pal Park and In Chul Beak at 168
Bob Foster, Michael Spinks, Dwight M. Qawi, Mathew Sadd Muhammad and Bob Fitzsimmons at 175
Carlos De Leon and Evander Holyfield at 190

 

So you are denying that Ketchel would beat the **** out of Jones jr?

Harry Greb would have a good chance of beating anyone in history at 160--175, so i definately go with him..He is a consensus top 10 atg

 

I certainly am. Jones would toy and have his way with him before finishing him off at any time he deemed it neccessary.

Why don't you actually compare the footage of the two. Ketchell was a completely wild, primitive fighter by modern standards. Still a great for his presence and accomplishments in his era (as well as the potential he never quite reached), but in a head to head comparison with modern counterparts he can't even be discussed fairly. Completely different eras and techniques. You can't tell me the sport hasn't evolved in 100 years if you just watch the damn footage. The sport didn't really modernize overall from what I can tell until around the 30's and 40's. But at the dawning of the century it still had a ways to go, and that's very obvious from watching this kind of stuff:

poor ketchell didnt even reach his prime..Killed at age 24...

he couldve exposed that chin though if he got to it, as he was a MURDEROUS puncher top 10 atg power according to ring.

joe Calzaghre at 168 could go either way depend on how his hands are feeling.

at 175 there are a lot of old timers foster, Torres,moore,charles,Archire Moore,Spinx,Conn.

at 168 Calzaghe,Benn,thats about it.

everyone should have harry greb on that 160-175 list

 

I rate Greb #3 all time in my P4P list. His resume is second to pretty much none to have boxed, but the lack of footage makes it hard to properly analyze his head to head potential against more modern technicians. I do rate him higher in that regard just based off of who he beat than I do Ketchell. He also came a bit later on and from temporary accounts seemed to have had a more versatile and adaptable style than Ketchell, who was basically just a bomber even in his era.

 

you haven't seen a prime Calzaghe then. and just so you know the Calzaghe from the lacy fight was about 2 1/2 years removed from his prime. joe is pretty much unbeatable he always finds a way to win even when clearly out of it look at the Mitchell fight clearly had his head knocked off got back up on unsteady legs and out him out

 

If i had to bet on 1 guy at his peak to win a fight it would be RJJ.

talent isn't alwasy enough for a fighter to win by sure RJJ had talent to spare but his lack of fundamentle's and work rate would make JOE C the perfect spoil calzaghe is also not short on talen and prime Joe was very very fast , excellent speed and his power was alot better then the joe that fought lacy.
