Nice one. Or we'll kidnap him and threaten to smash his collection unless he burns us a copy each. :yep
The fighter that it would be most instructive to have footage of (by my best guess) would be Hurst Mace. You would see the last British champion to use the bareknuckle style in its truest form fighting the first modern technical boxer who the queensbury champions based their style upon. It would be interesting to say the least.
Greb-Walker, more than any other fight in the world. Classic battle between two ATG HOFers and reigning champions. But heck, if I can't get that, then I suppose just about any Greb fought would do.
Various Langford fights, Burley, SRR at 147, Greb, Walker, Charles, Moore, these and more would all be fascinating fights to have. Hagler's early fights too that Dinner is speaking of. Some more Monzon efforts. The list is endless. SRR - Gavilan II would sure do me tho.
Great pick. I would also like to see Jeffries KO 23 over Corbett 1, Jeantette KO 49 over McVey, Langford Late KO over Wills, Tunney UD over Loughran, Marciano MD over Lastarza, and Liston KO 3 over Folley.
Mendoza, I got confirmation Liston-Folley was never filmed. the fight took place in Denver, and they had no telecast or radio broadcast that night. Also Marciano-Lastarza I was filmed, too bad it got lost somewhere in history. Maybe someone has it in there basment buried away.
That was the undercard to "Holmes-Spoon" & "Dokes-Weaver 2" in May of 1983..... I'd like that too.... I got the Main Event & Co-Main on Tape... I have "Page - Jim Tillis" from 1982..... Page KTFO of Tillis in Texas... I'd like "Page-Berbick" from 1982..... I'd like a clear cut copy of "Tillis-Shavers" as well...... Its out there...... I want a video copy that's clean of "Foreman-Qawi" from '88.... None of this Youtube ****..... Youtube is alright to gander at at best......... MR.BILL
Ive got a great copy of Tillis-Shavers, its a studio master and you can hear Cosell between rounds bad mouthing Shavers and Tillis. Its pretty interesting to hear what he really thought.
