The heavyweight division is no worse today than in Holmes day,in truth its never really been that great. You have to go back to the 1930's for any kind of depth of talent.

Holmes DID have power. He was a hurtful puncher when he wanted to be; he'd beat Wlad to the jab as he's faster and a better boxer.

Some people think Wlad is a good boxer. He paws at the jab for five or six rounds then drops a big right on an unconditioned and (often) much shorter opponent.

Holmes is not much shorter than Wlad and had a better jab. His footwork was supreme and his powers of recovery excellent, Wlad is too slow to get to Holmes and Holmes with have him in trouble with his deceptively hard straight right, which would snap on Wlad's chin and have him in all sorts of trouble, as Holmes comes in and stops Wlad on the ropes, on his feet.

Holmes is superior in every way, any knowledgable boxing fan will tell you that.

Before another thread pops up he'd also beat Vitali very easily.

Lol. holmes reach are same with wlad 81":) So go **** your self:)
Holmes was down against Snipes and i would not even mentioned the Ali he fought. So what a ****? Wlad is not glass chined as most of ******s on ESB think. He can be Koed if the opponent have a one punch power which holmes obviously don't.
And what a ****ing Stamina issues you are talking about?

Wlad is not slower Btw. Maybe foot work but not hand speed.

It's shocking that 40% of posters think Wlad would win. Along with a similar % who picked Hopkins to beat prime Hagler it illustrates so very well just how ******ED some people are on this Genral Forum

We're talking about a prime Larry Holmes here, so I'll go with Holmes by stoppage, late rds.

Holmes wasn't a small HW, plus he had a good chin. Even if Wlad catched him with something big I don't think it'd be enough to stop Holmes. At any rate I don't see Wlad letting his hands go, because he'd have too much respect for Holmes, so he'd fight very awkward, jab and hold. Thing is, Holmes could jab too, and better. I can see this turning out to be a boring fight, with both men trading jabs and Holmes getting the upper hand by the middle rounds, then landing hard right hands and stopping a confused and tired Wlad by round 10.

It's not that shocking when you consider the amount of Klit-ites in this forum. I think he even got something like 30% of the vote to beat prime Ali :nut

well he faced them and beat them both, that's a fact. Yeah he was knocked down, but he got a chin and heart and survived these knockdowns. That's the difference.

If it would be an awkward fight than there is no chance that wlad will be tired by 10:)
