I watched a couple of his fights and he looks like he is trying to use the style of Roy. ...except he is immensely slower, not near the athlete, and not as powerful?

    Is that pretty accurate?

Yes, that style he has chosen does not suit him what-so-ever. He's nowhere near fast enough to pull it off, once he's blasted out by JT we'll never have to hear about him again, so don't worry about knowing anything about him.

So what am I wrong about? Like I said I have only seen a couple of his fights. He isn't incredibly fast but looks like a decent athlete. He is crafty for sure and does use the style of Roy leaving the left arm hanging low and throwing some leaping left hooks. He probably throws more jabs than Roy. Not in the same league with speed, power, and athleticism though not many ever were really...

Sorry I am just not impressed.

I'm sure Carl wont lose much sleep over what you think. Particularly as your knowledge of the sport seems to begin and end at RJJ.

no really mate not close at all.

everyone that froch has ever faced has said he is decievingly fast, and the biggest puncher you can face.

roy jones is probs the best athlete ever in boxing so of course froch is not up there. however he is a top athlete, hes a ripped 168lbs 6ft1 guy, he can do 20 80 metre sprints up hill in 10 seconds.

Roy Jones is not the only fighter to leave the left hand low......................Ali, Mayweather, Haye, Toney..........basicly fighters with fast reactions.

Agreed,he does not have the speed, the footwork or even the power to pull this style off.I think he's shyte.

That's pretty close to the truth.

Froch is a one dimensional plodder who fights as if he was given godlike reflexes.

He's also a paper champ who has yet to fight a live opponent.

Relying on his reflexes is a far cry from assimilating RJJ's style.

Yeah I agree and understand Roy isnt the only fighter who leaves the left hand low but his punches, moves and even mannerisms seems to try to emulate Roy.

He just doesn't impress me that much. His speed is nothing special yet he uses a style that is based solely off of speed and quickness.

    We'll see though.
