Are ESB Posters too conservative in their opinions?

There seems to be a trend in all the posts that the status quo is inevitable and change is treated with derision.

    Examples:

    Weight Divisions
There seems a resistance to change a new divisions. The is an acceptance that people have go bigger of the years, but talk of increasing certain weights e.g Middle to 168 or 175, a super cruiser division etc is dismissed. I have the feeling some posters would like to return to the old traditional 8 divisions.

    TV Coverage
The standard reply is that we are a minority sport, or not mainstream enough to have our own channel. A petition was set up and worldwide we achieved 909 lousy signatures - pathetic.

    PPV
We have the power to get together and boycot lousy cards, but TV companies rely on us mugs to pay whatever and whenever

I think boxing lost a lot of fans because people in general are sick of new weight divisions and ****ing around with new belts and all. It stands to reason that the remaining fans aren't keen on more meddling.

Though I agree that there should be a new super-cruiserweight or something.

Only speaking for myself here but these are my thought's.

    Weight Divisions:
I would be in favour of going back to the traditional 8 Divisions But adding a ninth with the Super Heavyweight Division.

    TV Coverage:
Fairly happy at the moment, I signed the petition as i would love to see a boxing channel set up but currently have boxing from RTE, Sky Sports, Eurosport, Setanta, ITV 4 so most big fights are covered and those that aren't are always available via the internet in some way.

    PPV:
Only buy big fights and only if i can be arsed to stay up, Vegas fights are tough if I'm working the next day but tend to download PPV's now as I'm already paying Sky a **** load of money.

I don't know what's the answer, but I think coverage is key in making boxing a mainstream sport. I can't tell you how many times boxing fans (not on the internet) have asked me about fights like Cotto-Pavlik, Juanma-Humberto Soto, Margarito-Calzaghe, etc... I think you get the idea. People are absolutley lost with boxing and only seem to pay attention to it when there is enough media generating buzz for a big fight.

EDIT: I think the craziest one I heard was in the Dawson-Tarver fight where I was told Cotto probably beats Dawson :patsch

    lol, it's me.

EDIT: I was just wondering why nobody puts their own pics, so I decided to put mine. I'm not expecting to start a trend or anything, just thought of it and did it.
