http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z2k81MIOVXc Considering Eubank took the fight at 1 weeks notice when he was supposed to fight at Light Heavy says alot, Eubank was a good 4 years past it. But Joe wants to try and validate his career. He claims he would have beat them all...ashame you never fought a Top fighter @ his peak. I still pick Joe to beat a prime Eubank on pnts...but this type of BS is hilarious. Even the interviewer thinks it is. ROFL The interviewer is asking this question because he knows Joe hasnt fought anyone. lol
Both him and his father talk bollocks....... You know it's a sad state of affair when you have convince ppl of how great your record is
Eubank was only 31 when he fought Calzaghe. I seriously doubt that he was 4 years past it. 27 years old certainly wouldn't be the end of his prime. I don't think that he was past it at all. Especially considering that afterwards Eubank went all the way up to Cruiserweight and gave Carl Thompson all that he could handle.
I rate JC and Eubank very highly, but (pre Watson) Eubank was as dangerous as a hungry lion on a killing spree, I would give it to Eubank.
but you could say that post-waston eubank was past it. I don't think he was shot but he was nowhere near the force he was and was certainly ill prepared.
i dont think Eubank was past it!!! completely but EUbank was fighting in small shows in Dubai for previous 2 years prior to that fight. He was sceduled to fight at Light Heavy on the night of the Calzage fight vs Mark Prince. MEans he must have been at least at 185!!! he had 2 lose a **** load of weight at 1 weeks notice!! WBO sanctioned it as well...criminal...just like most of Joes defences....lol I look at Joes career like this....If Naseem HAmed didnt face BArrera ( atop fighter @ his peak) he would have made 20+ defences!!! he made 17
You guys are amazing lol. This is the same Eubank who stopped Benn, and then got outboxed and outslugged by Benn in the rematch only to be given a draw. Cal beats any version of Eubank. Eubank was a good fighter, but don't put him on a pedestal that he was great. He was only great to watch. Was Eubank peak when he lost ot Cal. Were Barrera and Morales peak when they lost and won against Pac?
