what !?! It was only a hard piece of Gauze ?!? It was plaster treated Gauze. Sorry there should not be any reason to have plaster in your gloves. that not only cheating its criminal intent .

 

The gauze itself would not be hard as a brick but it would be firm, but when you ad addition gauze and tape to the mix and the fact that the pad were moist, the end result can be tapped fist harder then normal. That gives me an Idea, I'm going to do is make my own pads plaster pad and see if I can tell the difference in punching power.

Its like someone else pointed out to me. If Marg was oblivious to what was going on, then how come he has not chastised Capetillo for putting his career in jeopardy? because i would of been well pissed if my trainer had arguably just cost me the chance to earn millions of dollars.

I dont buy Capetillo was like a father figure.......so what!!! if someone just cost you your career by cheating, and you knew nothing about it untill now. You would be mighty pissed!!!

 

How Naive can Margarito be ? I hghly doubt that he didn't know that his gloves were loaded somewhat ..

Are you guys so certain he didn't say anything? I mean, just because there isn't an article on that doesn't mean Margarito didn't say anything. As fans, we can't assume EVERYTHING that goes on in the World of boxing has a link.

 

some guy i talk to is a good friend of margo and sergio (manager), he said the whole camp was surprised and upset at capetillo after the hearing...he also said the whole camp was pretty much in shock them damn selves....but that's all he can tell me at the moment, he also said that capetillo messed up the camps plans to take this to court....exactly what he meant, i dont know...but hopefully he'll tell me more

 

Even though I do not agree with Margarito's cheating tactics I can see why he did it...look at who he was fighting, "BALCO" Shane Mosely. (allegedly)
Shane must be loving the fact that he got the heat taken off of his cheating ass and put over on Margarito.

I can see why he would not want to confront him. The man has been training him his entire life, he knows that he was putting the plaster to help HIM. Even if it ruined his career, Capetillo helped make Margarito. You don't just turn your back on that.


That being said cheating is cheating and Margo needs more of a punishment than one year.
