Furthermore, if we still have the Winky of Winky-Taylor, I would pick him for a points win over Pavlik AND Abraham.

Since when? Winky couldn't even hurt Trinidad and Mosley. Too small guys with those feather like jabs. How did he suddenly become the stronger fighter in this fight?

The only reason he beat those guys were because they were smaller than him. Against guys with the same or taller height he struggled. Case in point his fights with Hopkins and Taylor. Heck even Vargas gave him a tough time.

There was a reason Wright and McKart fought 3 times. McKart was a damn fine fighter in his prime. He's also 6 foot, and naturally bigger than Wright. Winky beat him 3 times. I wouldn't call that struggling against bigger men.

    Little about Trinidad was feather-like.

    Joppy could attest to that.

And Winky's punch resistance was demonstrated in his allowing Mosley 'free shots' a la Mayorga, during their bout.

He drew with Taylor (some feel he beat him, I don't. I think a draw was fair) And Taylor would have little trouble with Williams.

I have to stick by my original post here, brood.

Are you being sarcastic, or are you new to boxing?

Bonco McKart is the guy Winky won his first world title from in a split decision back in 1999.

Yeah I was being sarcastic because this Bronco guy is a nobody. Just like his victories. The only time he fought real contenders he lost. Verno Phillips(The same Verno Phillips Paul Williams destroyed) beat him. Kelly Pavlik crushed him in six. So I asked the question. Who is this guy again?

Good job noob. Only 62 posts and you've already proven yourself to be as moronic as nallege and king chile combined.

I was talking about Winky Wright buddy. :D

Exactly! which is why I said he struggled against Taylor. Thanks for restating my point.

Then you need to learn how to express yourself a little more clearly, Brood.

    Here's what you wrote:

When you write TWO SMALL GUYS WITH THOSE FEATHER LIKE JABS as one complete sentence, the meaning, intended or not, is that the TWO SMALL GUYS have the FEATHER LIKE JABS.

However, if you were referring to Winky as having feather like jabs, that's even more off the wall as Winky has one of the best jabs in the business.
No need to even argue that point.

I'm afraid you only read the first part of that sentence.

That might have strengthened your point, if not for the second part.

This is pretty hilarious because Trinidad and Mosley hardly ever throw jabs. How could you ever mistake them for Winky is beyond me?

Oh yes I can. I didn't say his jab sucks. I said there "feather like". Meaning his jabs wouldn't hurt a fly let alone Paul Williams (Who took punches from plaster boy Margacheato and smiled). Yes Winky has no power, he's proven that his entire career.

I remove that part because it was redundant. You have no clue how Williams would fare against Taylor. Heck you didn't even point out how? So it was utterly useless responding to it.

It mightn't be beyond you if you were to re-read your post. I went entirely by what you wrote.

And, as I said, you expressed yourself, at a minimum, rather poorly.

    That much is beyond doubt.

His jabs were sufficient to win him the overwhelming majority of his fights so far. Watch Trinidad's head jolt back with each one he eats. Winky's not a KO fighter, but his jab is excellent and it gets the job done.

    Actually, i do.

I have watched each man's earlier fights and weighed up the quality of their
opponents and then come to a judgment as to how I believe they would fare against each other.

It may not be correct, but it is a reasoned judgment by a long time follower of the sport so I do 'have a clue.'

Again, your lack of articulation and precision seems to be getting the better of you, here.

Further discussion is redundant here as I'm told the two fighters in question are soon to meet in the ring.

We could argue all night about a Williams-Robinson fight or a Winky-Monzon fight. Neither will ever take place.

But we can wait for the outcome of Wright-Williams and talk more AFTER the fight.

    Till then,

    Regards.

Hey its not my fault you misread my sentence. What do want some pics and color pencils next time? How about a little common sense on your part.

His jab still wouldn't hurt a fly. It worked so well against Mosley because he was short and easy to hit. Ain't happening against the 6'1 Williams.

Nice sentences, but you still haven't pointed out how Taylor is gonna beat Williams. Oh come on your not chickening out on me(like Boo Radley) are you. This is a boxing forum where are the men.
