On Adamek turning down his lowball offer.Since when did BHOP become De La Hoya???Adamek is asking for a cool mill while Hopkins would get 4.Yet Bernard seems to think he has reached PPV status no matter who he fights.IMO most guys he fought brought in plenty of there own fans and a BHOP PPV against a good opponent with no name would flop.

This guy used to kick and scream to anyone who would listen about getting worked over now he is doing exactly the same.

    Re: Hopkins:"I'm not a charity"

There was around $6mln on the table and he offered like 0.5 mln to Adamek.
Adamek's people said they would be satisfied with like 1.5 mln.

I thought Hopkins have the CW IBF belt and the Ring title on his mind to build up his ATG rank ...
but it turns up that giving up $1mln is more important to him ....
especially that he will have no belt and no money if someone get the fight before him

HBO was willing to put up 3 milllion alone.

Add in the live gate and global broadcast rights and you are looking at about 6 mill(the original estimate total for this fight).

Bhop has like, basically not a lot of fans anyways. You get your occasional fans from Philly, and a few other hardcore boxing fans and thats pretty much it. Adamek is the one who draws the numbers and gets all the people.

Seriously, Adamek would make more money fighting Huck, 0.5$ is ridiculous.

Hopkins couldnt attract flies if he was made of shite. He priced himself out of a Calzaghe fight years ago and he's doing the same here. Greedy *******.

Legend or no legend, I just wanna see the guy go down in flames & Adamek is just the guy to bust up his grill.

No...because had Pavlik not been sick as holy hell just days before the night, there would have been no "destuction" of Pavlik.

Maybe Hopkins wants so much because even he knows beating Adamek is no sure thing & it would be nice to get a huge final payday, even though he'll pay dearly for it.

He also priced himself out of a Jones fight back when Jones was on top.
