Pavlik v. Mundine later this year? HBO may be pushing for it...

Thanks God Anthony Mundine is not a reliable source on Anthony Mundine.

 

Mundine is scheduled to fight and the article says he must do his bit with Sturm by Nov 1, so where do you get 'later this year'? Only way HBO wants it is if they are sure Pavlik puts that loud mouth in the hospital.

 

I would strongly doubt that HBO is pushing for this fight.

Mundine is unknown in the US.
If he is known, it isn't because of his boxing, it is because of his anti-US/pro-terrorist comments.
No way does HBO have any interest in promoting a fight with this idiot.

the only question mark is hes confidence and self belief, its not great at the best of times and whenever he talks himself up, it always sounds like hes trying to convince himself most of all and especially at 160 a weight which im sure he doesnt make as easy as he says he does

i think hbo could be pushing for this bout, just because 160 is not filled with very big names and while hes not a big name in the states, he was a super middle champ not long ago

That is why I said the only way HBO wants this fight is if they KNOW Pavlik puts him in the hospital, cuz if he doesn't the crowd will. Hell, Pavlik might get a Marine escort and his entrance music would be the "Marines' Hymn". :yep

i tell youn what, i would love to gfet good odds on mundine, pavlik is a strong puncher and a very decent fightyer, but mundine, imo is a class above him, when it comes head to head match ups. mundine has everything thats needed to beat pavlik as easy hopkins did

 

Mundine pre-eye injury might have had a chance. He's looked like **** since then though.

 

Except for having a chin. Hopkins has a fantastic beard. Mundine was knocked out cold by Sven Ottke, and dropped on his ass by Crazy Kim.
